The sign of lineage, qualities. First, it says in the Sutra of the Garland of Glory: The Tathagatagarbha pervades all beings. And in the Uttaratantra, it says: The body of the perfect Buddha radiates light, and because Suchness is without difference, and because there is lineage, all sentient beings constantly possess the essence of the Buddha. So it is said. There are two signs of lineage. The sign of having lineage but not being awakened is: If the Buddha-dhatu did not exist, one would not be saddened by suffering, and there would be no desire for Nirvana, nor would there be any seeking or aspiration. So it is said, like some inferior beings. The sign of being awakened is: Seeing the faults and virtues of suffering and happiness in samsara and Nirvana, this is because of having lineage, because it does not exist for those without lineage. So it is said. Those two are in the Ornament of the Sutras: Some do not have the virtues that are in accordance with liberation, and even if there is a little bit of white dharma, it is without cause. Thus, it shows that it is not exhausted and temporarily cut off. Before the application, there is compassion, and faith and patience, and also properly practicing virtue, it is properly explained as the sign of lineage. Thus, it shows awakening. Qualities are taught as supreme because they are far superior to the Hinayana, as it says in the same text: Qualities are extremely vast because they give rise to the Bodhi tree, because of obtaining the peace of great happiness and suffering, because of accomplishing benefit and happiness for oneself and others as the result, the supreme lineage is like a good root. So it is said. That is also from the Indian language, the meaning of Gotra is translated as Guna, which is quality, and Tāra is translated as deliverance, relying on qualities to deliver to the other shore of samsara, as it says in the same text: Qualities are, it should be known as the meaning of deliverance. Third, there are three divisions: division from the aspect of the support and the supported, division from the aspect of the state, and division from the aspect of example and meaning. The first is in the Ornament of the Sutras: Those of nature and growth, That is the support and the supported, and the existence and non-existence of self and qualities, it should be known as the meaning of deliverance. So it is said, the pervasive light mentioned earlier is explained as two by the division of appearance and emptiness. The emptiness of the Dharmadhatu is the support of the inseparable cause of the Dharmakaya Svabhavikakaya, the wisdom appearance self-light name

In short, it is the state of abiding in the separation of the two Kayas, the Form Kaya. As stated in the Uttaratantra Shastra: "Like a mine and a fruit tree, the lineage should be known as twofold: the beginningless, naturally abiding, and the perfectly attained, most excellent nature. From these two lineages, one wishes to attain the three Kayas of the Buddha. The first Kaya is the first, and the second attains the latter two. The beautiful nature of the Dharmakaya should be known as like a precious image, because it is not made by nature, and the qualities are like a treasure of jewels. Because it possesses great Dharma and royal power, the Sambhogakaya is like a Chakravartin. The Nirmanakaya is of the nature of an image, like a golden statue." This also refers to the naturally abiding lineage and the perfectly attained lineage, which are divided into two types based on the distinction between the ground and the path. When the nature of Dharmadhatu pervades and abides in all grounds, the basis of manifestation, the part of Dharmadhatu, is like a treasure of precious jewels, like a basis for the arising of whatever is desired, without truly cutting off anything. The Dharmadhatu of the Dharmakaya Svabhavikakaya is the gateway to the manifestation of Kaya and wisdom, hence it is established as such. The part of the manifestation of wisdom and luminosity, the awareness and Kaya, is the power of being free from obstacles. From the aspect of the qualities that are inherently present, it is certain to manifest, as stated in the example of a fruit-bearing tree growing upwards. The name of the pure result is established by the pure cause. As stated in the Sutra Ornament: "It is explained by the example of the gold lineage and the king of jewels." Incidentally, if it is explained as when studying on the path, both lineages of Dharmadhatu are naturally and spontaneously accomplished, hence they are called the nature lineage, abiding as the support. On top of this, from the generation of the initial Bodhicitta up to the ultimate end of the ten Bhumis, all the roots of virtue are encompassed by the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, and are called the perfectly attained or increasing lineage. This virtue is also a newly acquired antidote, and by eliminating the stains of the nature lineage, it is shown as if the qualities inherent in the nature are newly generated.

Because it contradicts that. The Ornament of the Sutras states: "Although there is no difference between before and after, Thatness is purified." And the Uttaratantra states: "Uncreated and spontaneously accomplished, Not conceived by other conditions, Possessing wisdom, love, and power, The Buddha who possesses two benefits." Therefore, that Buddha is not accomplished from the cause and effect of separation, by the cause and effect of the producer and the produced, but because it is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, from the two lineages, one should know that the three bodies of the Buddha are inherently present. That is, the increasing manifestation aspect of the Buddha's ground is the Sambhogakaya, and its emptiness aspect is the Dharmakaya, the nature of the lineage, from the blessing of the inseparability of these two, in the appearance of sentient beings, the manifestation of the Nirmanakaya that corresponds to their respective shares. Just like the image of a Chakravartin king appearing in the sky, appearing on the slope of a golden mountain. Secondly, from the aspect of the state, there are three types: the impure lineage of sentient beings, the impure and pure lineage of Bodhisattvas, and the extremely pure lineage or Dhatus of the Tathagatas. That is, although the characteristics of lineage or Dhatu are contradictory because they are free from defilements in the Buddha's ground, it is not contradictory to establish the name in this way, because that sutra says: "Buddha-nature and Buddha-bodhi." Therefore, in relation to the three states, the Uttaratantra states: "Impure, impure-pure, and extremely pure, in order, Sentient beings, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas are spoken of." And in its commentary, it says: "For example, in the impure state, it is called the Dhatu of sentient beings, in the impure and pure state, it is called Bodhisattva, and in the extremely pure state, it is called Tathagata." Similarly, there are also the three lineages of the three vehicles. And it is also established in the thirteen lineages of the stages of practice, etc. The nature of mind, the single essence, is universally present without good or bad for the lineage of meaning, so it is pervasive. And on top of that, the difference in state and vehicle, and the difference between the upper and lower grounds and paths, establish different names, just like a single vase, because the essence it contains is different, the name will change at different times. The Ornament of Clear Realization states: The dependent dharma
