And also the vast Abhidharma Pitaka, with its various classifications of grounds, paths, dharanis, and samadhis. Thereafter, in perfect places such as Jambudvipa and the abodes of gods and nagas, the perfect teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha, to a perfect retinue of countless beings including monks, nuns, gods, nagas, and bodhisattvas, taught the perfect Dharma, the final teachings, the definitive meaning. The perfect time was from the age of seventy-three to eighty-two. Among these, the Abhidharma Pitaka mainly teaches the training of higher wisdom; the Abhidharma Vinaya teaches the method of subduing afflictions through easy and simple means; the Abhidharma Sutra is the ocean of entering into suchness; and the Abhidharma Abhidharma includes the classifications of skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, indriyas, vijnanas, and the naturally pure essence of the Tathagatagarbha. As it is said in the "Seven Hundred Sutras": The Able One, for the sake of beings, well taught the aggregates of Dharma, the places, times, and order, proclaimed the teachings with the voice of Brahma. Thus it is. From a unique perspective, it seems that the three wheels of Dharma were taught in sequence to those who gradually enter according to the minds of the disciples; while to those who enter simultaneously, it seems that the teachings were revealed at a single moment of complete action. As it is said in the "King of Adornments Sutra": I have not spoken anything, yet a vast realm appears to beings. When they desire gradual manifestation, it is the same for them. For those who enter simultaneously, a complete array of Dharma appears. The greatness of speech is that which fulfills wishes as desired. Thus it is. Here, some teachers believe that the three wheels of Dharma are only turned simultaneously, while others believe that they are taught in sequence. Both views are merely confused about the meaning of common and uncommon, distinguished by the difference in faculties. Therefore, the teacher is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, fulfilling desires according to the wishes of beings. Through the blessings of the Buddha, sixty

Although appearing like reflections and accomplishing benefits, in reality, sounds and words themselves have no inherent nature. It is due to the combination of the disciples' inclinations, the blessings of the Buddha, and the convergence of circumstances that they appear like sound reflections. As stated in the *Uttaratantra*: "Just as the sound of a sound reflection arises from the consciousness of another, without conceptualization or fabrication, so too is the speech of the Tathagata, arising from the consciousness of another, not abiding in the outer or inner." This is how it is. According to this principle, the *Ratnakuta Sutra* states: "Shantimati, from the night when I attained complete enlightenment until the night when I passed into nirvana, I have not taught even a single word of Dharma." Some who do not understand say that it was not taught in the ultimate sense but was taught in the conventional sense. This is also being confused about the reality that transcends speech and letters, appearing in accordance with the appearances of beings as words and letters. Therefore, here, the Dharma wheels that appear to disciples, whether the places and categories are the same or different, are all the same, because the disciples' faculties and inclinations are of three different types. The speech that appears as the speech of the Tathagata, without any temporal sequence, teaches different Dharmas. As stated in the *Samadhiraja Sutra*: "For the benefit of the world, from your one speech, sounds arise according to different inclinations. Each one thinks, 'The Victor is teaching to me.' For what reason do you show a smile?" And as stated in the *Sutra Unraveling of Intent*: "Without conceptualization and without confusion, the one pleasing Vajra speech, according to the inclinations of the disciples, transforms into many distinctions." In this way, some think that the three wheels were taught sequentially at different times, and there is such a system. As stated in the *Madhyamaka Mother Sutra*: "Emaho, in Jambudvipa, the second turning of the Dharma wheel will occur." And as stated in the *Seven Hundred Prajnaparamita Sutra*: "Repeating three times, the twelve aspects of the Dharma wheel were turned." Also, there are instances where, at the same time and in the same place, what appears as the speech of one teacher is seen differently due to the different appearances of individual disciples. As stated in the *Zamatog Vyakarana Sutra*: "At that time, some Bodhisattvas saw the Dharma of the great compassion gate.
