Confidence without needing to seek elsewhere: Because the realm of self-appearing wisdom manifests as body and wisdom, there is confidence that one does not need to accomplish it from other realms. Because there is no hope or fear, no acceptance or rejection regarding samsara and nirvana, there is confidence that one is certain that Buddhahood cannot be accomplished from elsewhere. At that time, three irreversibilities will arise: awareness will not regress and will ripen into body; appearance will not regress and will be liberated into clear light; conceptualization will not regress and will awaken into wisdom. The basis of what needs to be purified and what purifies is contained within the three appearances and the three emptinesses. The three appearances are: deluded appearance, pure appearance, and the illusory appearance of the bardo, which are the appearances that sentient beings commonly cling to now. If the four appearances are trained, they will transform into pure appearance. Even if they are not trained, the appearance of the ground clear light will arise in the bardo. The three emptinesses are the stages of the four appearances that purify obscurations: first, by turning away from what is not Dharma, the three doors are liberated from delusion, and thus delusion is emptied. Then, the obscuration of clinging to Dharma is emptied, and the five winds are purified into space. Then, by liberating inwardly and outwardly into clear light, the causes of coarse and subtle arising are emptied. As it is said in the Garland of Pearls: Furthermore, the nature of essence, condensed in essence, is the three clarities, the three luminosities, and pervaded by knowledge. With the three confidences and the three irreversibilities, one obtains the certainty that the essence does not change. The three appearances and the three emptinesses, the essence is established in the continuum by its own nature of purity. Thus it is. Thus, the tantra of means, the tantra of nature, although many individual distinctions are explained, they are distinguished by their individual reversals based on examining the single essence of self-arisen wisdom, and there is no difference in meaning. From the perspective of the reality of inherent nature, it is called the tantra of nature, the tantra of meaning to be expressed, and the tantra of the ground. From the perspective of the meaning of practicing these realities, from the aspect of naturally abiding in self-arisen wisdom, although names such as the tantra of means, the tantra of expression, and the tantra of essence are given, it is like giving many names to one person, and although many names appear, they do not go beyond the same meaning. In that very text it says: By ground, path, and result, the nature tantra is determined to be grasped. Therefore, the tantra is established by connection. Since nature is established by descent, it is called the tantra of nature itself. From the difference of the essence of one ground, the means.

I, the Self-Nature Tantra, although appearing merely as an imputation, in reality, the essence is one basis, the self-nature is empty, it is not different and has no change. For example, a person who has many names, no matter from where they are called, they will appear accordingly, the unchanging meaning is also the same. Thus it is said. Secondly, explaining the order of the Tantra of Words, there are eight: the nature of the essence, the divisions, the way of gathering, the order or individual meanings, the purpose, the method of explanation, and the indication of the titles that determine the mother and child. First, the essence of the Tantra, by arranging the appearance of the connection between words and meanings, liberates the consciousness continuum of beings. The definition is that it is expressed and clarified in names, words, and letters. There are eighteen types of divisions: the Tantra like an ocean - Awareness Self-Arisen; the Tantra like the sun - Vajrasattva, the Mirror of the Heart; the Tantra like a lion - Lion's Perfect Power; the Tantra like a mountain king - Without Letters; the Tantra like a wheel - Auspicious and Beautiful; the Tantra like a key - Sound Transformation; the Tantra like a sword - Samantabhadra, the Mirror of the Heart; the Tantra like a clear lamp - Burning Lamp; the Tantra like molten gold - Jewel Inlay; the Tantra like a mother-child relationship - Sun and Moon Union; the Tantra like a mirror - Introduction Adornment; the Tantra like pearls strung together - String of Pearls; the Tantra like a snake knot - Awareness Self-Liberated; the Tantra like a great garuda - Six Spaces; the Tantra like a river - Perfection Self-Arisen; the Tantra like a razor - Black Wrathful Mother; the Tantra like a king - Burning Corpse; the Tantra like a treasury - Pile of Jewels. Thus it is said, in the "String of Pearls" also: Like the ocean and the sun, like the lion and the mountain king, like the wheel and the key, like the sword and the clear lamp, like molten gold and the mother-child relationship, like the mirror and the string of pearls, like the snake knot and the great garuda, like the river and the razor, like the king and the treasury, by distinguishing these, the Tantra of Words can be clarified. By distinguishing their meanings, the nature of the essence can also be seen.
