Transforming the thought that does not deviate from its own nature into an actual thought, that is the meaning of expansion. Similarly, the sixty-branch melodious voice of Vairocana (meaning 'the Illuminator'), that completely pure expression, is the ultimate Dharma seal; the inner Dharma seal is the Vajra mantra-holding on the tongue (Tibetan: ངག་གཟུང་།, Sanskrit: mantra-grahaṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: mantra-grahaṇa, literal meaning: holding the mantra); the outer Dharma seal is the hand mudra of the moment. Like this, transforming the Buddha's speech into one's own language is expansion. The activity of Vairocana is to manifest many emanations from one, simultaneously showing various forms; to simultaneously teach various Dharma doors with one speech; to simultaneously know many different objects of knowledge with one mind. The activity is also through such actions of body, speech, and mind, causing limitless sentient beings to obtain temporary and ultimate benefits, and being able to truly strive to bring sentient beings closer to these benefits. Whatever greatness and wonder the three secrets of any Victorious One (Tibetan: རྒྱལ་བ་, Sanskrit: Jina, Romanized Sanskrit: Jina, literal meaning: Victorious One) perfectly possess, therefore, from these aspects, twenty-seven activities can be established, these activities existing upon the object to be tamed and the tamer. Such activity is the ultimate action seal, the inner action seal is the various vajras in one's own heart, the outer action seal is the hand mudra. It is necessary to expand such activity to be non-dual with the activities of one's own three doors of body, speech, and mind. The stainless Vajra body of the Victorious Vairocana, which is free from all change, is the nature of complete clarity of all marks and signs, this is the ultimate Mahamudra; the inner Mahamudra is the primordial Vajra in the heart, the outer Mahamudra is the hand mudra. It is necessary to ensure that such a Buddha body does not deviate from the nature of one's own expanded body. During the practice of approach and commitment, there are the twelve deeds of the Buddha: disporting in the form of the supreme emanation body; in order to tame sentient beings, demonstrating the conduct of a Bodhisattva; first, entering the womb; second, taking birth; third, demonstrating skills; fourth, ruling the kingdom; fifth, renouncing; sixth, attaining supreme meditation; seventh, manifesting enlightenment; eighth, turning the wheel of Dharma; ninth, subduing the six heretical teachers, etc.; tenth, demonstrating miracles; eleventh, passing into nirvana; twelfth, transforming into a mound of relics in the field of merit. Through these means, benefiting sentient beings with profound Dharma.

Furthermore, it is also permissible to add phrases such as 'acting in accordance with whatever needs to be tamed' to teachers, Dharma kings, and other various Dharma instructors. These were written by Mati for the sake of Lama Drakpa. In our own system, the emptiness of signlessness is the wisdom of non-elaboration and non-conceptualization; the emptiness with signs is the empty form that possesses all supreme aspects. Both simultaneously, being free from all aspects of mental fabrication, without any clinging or attachment, in the state where all experiences and appearances are exhausted into the expanse of reality, from the perspective of unobstructed manifestation, it has such characteristics. This is what Mati said. The objectless self-aware wisdom is the supreme essence, the inner knowing of definite meaning, the unchanging Lama. Although it is inseparable in the hearts of all sentient beings in the manner of the ground and result being undifferentiated, to see its true face as it is, it is extremely important to rely on the instructions of a qualified Lama who possesses experience. As it is said in the tantras: 'When the mind is bound, the winds are also bound.' The venerable Sarahah also said: 'If it is made like space, then all the winds are bound; if one realizes equality, then one is liberated.' This is about how to meditate on the nature of the mind: in the state of non-conceptual, non-elaborate, like space, clear and empty, without grasping, naked awareness, when maintaining this state becomes particularly important, the movement of the nature of reality, the activity of the subtle winds subsides, revealing its natural radiance, and the movement of coarse conceptual thoughts naturally subsides. Because of this, all the coarsest winds of the body are completely dissolved into the central channel of wisdom, and the self-luminous pure awareness abides more completely in its natural state, naturally accomplished everywhere. Therefore, one must strive to achieve this. Because one cannot achieve this state at first, for beginners, the method of practice is: Je Tilopa said: 'Relax into the uncreated natural state, if you loosen the bonds, there is no doubt that you will be liberated.' Like this, in the state of understanding that the nature of the mind is self-aware and self-luminous, naturally and effortlessly abide, letting go of all conceptual thoughts belonging to the past, present, and future, and when experiencing the original self-arisen light uninterruptedly, with the awareness that truly knows this state, and the mindfulness that does not forget this state, combine them and abide as much as possible in the natural state, this is the state of meditation. Like this... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
