Furthermore, 'Son of lineage, the ten powers of the Tathagata,' etc., up to 'immeasurable and boundless dharmas are the nature of the Buddha Tathagata,' etc. In the Uttaratantra it says: 'Light and non-created are indistinguishable, possessing the qualities exceeding the Ganges' sands, all the Buddha's dharmas are endowed with the ultimate truth.' etc. In the Condensed Sutra it says: 'Although you transcend the three realms, you possess the aspects of the three realms; although you are free from the dharmas of subtle particles, you are the form of all that is stable and moving.' etc. As such, it is taught that the Dharmadhatu's pure wisdom is all-encompassing. In general, there is no dispute that the Dharmadhatu of the Buddha is all-encompassing. And because the Dharmadhatu of the Buddha and the Dharmadhatu of the basic sentient beings are inseparable, the Dharmadhatu of sentient beings also demonstrates being all-encompassing in terms of holding the ultimate aspect of all knowable objects. These are the four aspects. Secondly, in the Ornament of the Sutras it says: 'Not existent, not non-existent, not thus, not other, without arising and ceasing, not decreasing, not changing, without increasing, and not purified; that which is purified is the ultimate characteristic.' As it is said, regarding the nature of the ultimate Dharmadhatu itself, it is not existent in the essence of the imputed and the dependent; nor is it non-existent in the essence of Suchness. In relation to these two, the ultimate is neither one nor different, being the wisdom of the state of affairs that is primordially pure from all elaborations of arising, ceasing, increasing, and decreasing, not eliminating what was previously there. In this respect, it is taught as the Dharmadhatu free from elaboration. Furthermore, as it says in the Uttaratantra: 'Just as the sky pervades all, because it is not closely stained, so too, this dwells in all sentient beings, without being closely stained.' As it is said, for example, just as the sky pervades all objects with form, yet is not stained by the faults of form, so too, the Dharmadhatu pervades the nature of the minds of all sentient beings, yet the adventitious stains on the mind never stain its inherent nature. In this respect, it is taught as the Dharmadhatu unstained by the characteristics of elaboration. These are the two aspects. Thirdly, regarding union, the lineage of self-nature, and the explanation of the ultimate realm, there are three aspects. The first is that the Dharmadhatu of the ultimate truth is the nature of the union of emptiness and non-emptiness, being empty of the grasping and the grasped of conventional reality, and not empty of the Dharmata of ultimate truth. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly, regarding the four aspects of lineage: differences, characteristics, divisions, and explanations. The first is the difference or nature of the six sources (Skt: Shadayatana) of a Bodhisattva, transmitted from one to another, obtained through beginningless Dharmata. Secondly, the unchanging inner awareness wisdom that inherently resides in the nature of mind, possessing all qualities. If you focus on this and strive on the path, it is possible to remove defilements and manifest all qualities. This unconditioned virtue is the characteristic of lineage. An example is the Alaya-jnana (藏文:ཀུན་གཞིའི་ཡེ་ཤེས,梵文:ālaya-jñāna,梵文罗马拟音:ālaya-jñāna,汉语字面意思:阿赖耶识) in the continuum of a Bodhisattva on the Accumulation Path. Thirdly, there are two types: the naturally abiding lineage and the developing lineage. The former is similar to the lineage mentioned above. The latter is divided into characteristics and divisions. Firstly, relying on the naturally abiding lineage, the conditioned virtue that becomes the cause of Bodhi due to conditions is the characteristic of the developing lineage. An example is the Accumulation Path in the continuum of a Bodhisattva. Secondly, there are three developing lineages of the three vehicles. Their characteristic is that the conditioned virtue that becomes the cause of perfect Bodhi is the characteristic of the developing lineage of the Great Vehicle. By analogy, if this characteristic is combined with Pratyekabuddha Bodhi and Shravaka Bodhi, one can understand the characteristics of those two. Fourthly, the Sanskrit word for lineage is Gotra, which means something like a husk; the Sanskrit word for essence is Garbha, which means being covered from the outside and existing in the middle. Therefore, the explanation of lineage should be done in this way. Thirdly, regarding the meaning of Dhatu (藏文:ཁམས,梵文:dhātu,梵文罗马拟音:dhātu,汉语字面意思:界) and refuting wrong views about it: Firstly, in general, there are different ways of establishing Dhatu, such as from the perspective of cause and lineage, but the Dhatu in our system refers to the naturally abiding, non-manifest innate wisdom in the nature of mind. For this Dharmata, there are nine metaphors to show the obscuring defilements: the Buddha image in a bad lotus, the honey in the honey, the essence in the husk, the gold in the impurity, the treasure under the ground, the ability to generate seedlings of trees existing in the husk, the golden statue of the Victorious One in rags, the lord of men in the womb of a bad woman, and the golden image in the mud. These nine coverings are the defilements. What these metaphors represent are: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
