From uncontrived arising, one enters the Accumulation Path (Tshogs Lam) of the Great Vehicle (Theg Chen). Then, during the great Accumulation Path, relying on the Samadhi of the Dharma Stream, one directly hears instructions from the Supreme Emanation Body and, through contemplation and reflection on them, when the Wisdom Arising from Meditation first arises, one transitions to the Path of Preparation (Sbyor Lam). The Heat and Peak of the Path of Preparation cause the grasping at both the afflicted and purified conceptualizations to diminish. The Patience and Supreme Dharma of the Path of Preparation cause the conceptualizations of substance-grasping and imputation-grasping to diminish. On the Path of Seeing (Mthong Lam), one abandons all conceptual seeds of afflictive and cognitive obscurations. Through the nine stages of the Path of Meditation (Gom Lam), one abandons the innate seeds of afflictive and cognitive obscurations, ultimately manifesting unsurpassed Enlightenment. The Mind-Only School asserts that the first and second turnings of the Dharma Wheel are provisional (Drang Don), while the final turning is definitive (Nges Don). This school, however, asserts that the first and last turnings of the Dharma Wheel are provisional, while the middle turning has both provisional and definitive aspects. Second, concerning the Prasangika (Thal 'gyur ba): the identification of the root teacher, the treatises that expound the tenets, the nature, the classification of names and etymological explanations, and the differences in tenets, are the five points. The first point: divided into the authors of the treatises, the teachers who adhere to a sect, and the teachers who do not adhere to a sect but only adhere to a view, are the three. The first are the noble Nagarjuna (Klu sgrub) and Aryadeva (AArya de ba). The second are Buddhapalita (Sangs rgyas bskyangs), Chandrakirti (Zla ba grags pa), Shantideva (Zhi ba lha), etc. The third are Acharya Shura (Slob dpon dpa' bo), Shakya Mitra (Shaakya bshes gnyen), Nagarjuna Bodhi (Klu'i byang chub), Logic Cuckoo (Rigs pa'i khu byug), etc. The second point: divided into the Buddha's words (Bka') and the treatises (Bstan bcos), are the two. The first are the Sutras of the Perfection of Wisdom (Sher phyin gyi mdo rnams), the Inexhaustible Intelligence Sutra (Blo gros mi zad pa'i mdo), the Samadhiraja Sutra (Mdo ting 'dzin rgyal po), the Sutra Requested by the Naga King Anavatapta (Klu'i rgyal po ma dros pas zhus pa'i mdo), the Ten Bhumi Sutra (Mdo sde sa bcu pa), etc. The second are Nagarjuna's Six Collections of Reasoning on Madhyamaka (Klu sgrub kyi dbu ma rig tshogs drug), Aryadeva's Four Hundred Verses on Madhyamaka (AArya de ba'i dbu ma bzhi brgya pa), Buddhapalita's Buddhapalita (Sangs rgyas bskyangs kyi buddha pa li ta), Chandrakirti's Entering the Middle Way (Zla ba grags pa'i dbu ma 'jug pa) and the Commentary on the Root Wisdom, Clear Words (Rtsa shes kyi 'grel pa tshig gsal), Commentary on the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, Commentary on the Four Hundred Verses on Madhyamaka, Self-Commentary on Entering the Middle Way, and Shantideva's Compendium of Trainings (Bslab btus) and Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds (Spyod 'jug), and Jowo Je's Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (Byang chub lam sgron), etc. The third point: The Madhyamika who only acknowledges the Prasangika as asserted by others, and does not accept true existence or conventional existence in his own system, is the definition of the Madhyamaka Prasangika. The fourth point: divided into two. The first are: the Prasangika, the Mind-Only Madhyamika, the Non-Abiding Madhyamika, etc. The second point is: arguing for others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
