Being in the state of the supreme noble one, which is the seventh noble state. Secondly, the Madhyamaka school is divided into the Madhyamaka following the intermediate turning of the wheel of Dharma and the Madhyamaka following the final turning. The first is further divided into six points: identifying the root teacher, explaining the tenets, the definition of the tenets, names and etymology, the reasoning that demonstrates the view, and a detailed explanation from various perspectives. The first point: the noble Nāgārjuna and Āryadeva. The second point is divided into two categories: the words of the Buddha and the treatises. The first category includes the scriptures of the intermediate turning of the wheel of Dharma, such as the Akṣayamati-sūtra and the Prajñāpāramitā-sūtra. The second category includes Nāgārjuna's Sūtra-samuccaya, Mūlamadhyamakakārikā, Śūnyatāsaptati, Vigrahavyāvartanī, Yuktiṣaṣṭikā, Vaidalya-prakaraṇa, Ratnāvalī, Āryadeva's Catuḥśataka, and Jñānagarbha's Abhisamaya-alaṃkāra, etc. The third point: Whoever, as a Buddhist, believes that all dharmas are free from extremes and does not accept even a particle of truly existent dharma, and proclaims the tenets of the Mahāyāna, is the definition of the Madhyamaka following the intermediate turning of the wheel of Dharma. An example is the teacher Śāntarakṣita. The fourth point is divided into two categories. The first is the non-apprehending Madhyamaka, also known as those who speak of no self-nature, the self-empty ones. The second is called the non-apprehending Madhyamaka because in the state of samāhita, nothing is apprehended and the middle way that is free from the two extremes is accepted; it is called those who speak of no self-nature because they proclaim that all dharmas have no truly existent self-nature; it is called the self-empty ones because they say that the mere negation of the truly existent, which is to be refuted, is the ultimate emptiness. The fifth point: As it is said in the Dharma-saṃgraha-sūtra, 'Not seeing anything is the supreme seeing.' And as it is said in the Satyadvaya-avatāra, 'If these appearing things are analyzed with reason, nothing at all is found. That which is not found is the ultimate truth.' And as it is said in the Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra, 'Having transcended mere mind, abide in the absence of appearance.' And so on, there are many proofs. The sixth point is divided into two schools: Svātantrika and Prāsaṅgika. The Svātantrika is further divided into the Sūtra-following Svātantrika and the Yoga-following Svātantrika. The first is further divided into five points: identifying the root teacher, explaining the tenets, the definition of the general and specific characteristics, etymology, and the differences of the tenets. The first point: the teachers Bhāviveka and Jñānagarbha, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second is: Madhyamakahrdaya (Essence of Madhyamaka) by Lega Denjey, with its auto-commentary Tarkajvala (Blazing Intellect), and Ratnavali (Garland of Jewels), a commentary on the Root Verses, and Madhyamika-satyadvaya (Madhyamaka on the Two Truths) by Yeshe Nyingpo, including its auto-commentary. The third is divided into general and specific. The first is: The Madhyamaka who admits that the three aspects of the reason for proving emptiness are established from their own side is called Madhyamaka Svatantrika. Svatantra, autonomy, self-nature, and emptiness of self-nature are synonymous. The second is: The Madhyamaka who does not admit self-awareness but admits that external objects are established by their own characteristics is called Madhyamaka Svatantrika who follows the Sutra school. The fourth is divided into general and specific. The first is: Without relying solely on the opponent's admission, but rather on the autonomy of the basis of imputation, the opponent's non-erroneous valid cognition is established as a common appearance, and upon that basis, the three aspects are necessarily determined, thereby generating a subsequent inference that realizes the object to be proven, hence it is called Svatantrika. The second is: Because it speaks in accordance with the Sutra school in most of the nominal designations, it is called Svatantrika who follows the Sutra school. The fifth is explaining the differences in tenets, divided into three parts: basis, path, and result. The first is the basis, divided into three aspects: the three natures, the establishment of the two truths, and other supplementary explanations. The first is the three natures, divided into the nature itself and the explanation of the nature. The first is the nature itself, divided into three aspects: The first is: As stated in the Nagaraja-pariprccha-sutra (Sutra of the Questions of the Dragon King): 'Whatever arises dependently, its essence is empty.' Therefore, phenomena such as form, which are the basis of emptiness, are other-powered nature (paratantra). The second is: As stated in the Lankavatara Sutra (Descent into Lanka Sutra): 'If analyzed with wisdom, the other-powered nature does not exist, and what is analyzed also does not exist.' Therefore, the aspect of falsely imputing true existence to phenomena such as form is the completely imputed nature (parikalpita). The third is: As stated in the Madhyamika-aloka (Light of the Middle Way): 'All phenomena, in the ultimate truth, always abide in the state of being without self-nature, that is the thoroughly established nature (parinispanna).' Therefore, the emptiness of phenomena, that is, the emptiness devoid of true existence, is the thoroughly established nature. The second is the explanation of the nature: Other-powered nature arises in dependence on other conditions and does not arise independently, therefore it is called the nature of no-birth; the completely imputed nature, in the ultimate truth, is not established according to the characteristics of the completely imputed, therefore it is called the nature of no-characteristics; the nature of phenomena is said to be without the nature of true existence, therefore it is called the nature of no-ultimate existence. The second part is the establishment of the two truths: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
