Furthermore, there are praises for the unique qualities of the sacred land's waters and lakes, praises for the sacred land's mountain king, Potala, praises for the wondrous splendor of this sacred land, praises for the way the lord of the sacred land, the Bodhisattva, abides, and praises and aspirations for the sacred land's retinue, comprising five sections. Firstly, the praise for the unique qualities of the sacred land's waters and lakes. The praise, composed of twenty-one syllables, is expressed in two verses and two phrases. Whoever, with a devout heart, perceives it in any direction, the noble Avalokiteśvara (观世音菩萨) in the southern part of the single continent of Jambudvipa (阎浮提), within the ocean, on that glorious Mount Potala (音译为布达拉), manifests inconceivable magical displays in accordance with the minds of those to be tamed. In each direction of the extremely beautiful lakes, precious sapphire mountains are dotted, their peaks towering high, presenting a deep blue appearance. The light rising from the lake merges with the water, causing the lake's color to appear deep blue, the vast ocean resembling a precious treasure, situated in the supreme direction. Furthermore, there is the ocean of milk, full of vitality and energy, its color as pure white as the moon, resembling crystal. Countless treasures merge and gather with the water and dragons, causing the lake's color to appear purely white. The cool and sweet springs, without any impurities, are delightful, involuntarily attracting one's attention. The lord of the beautiful stars, the moon, is born from this ocean of milk and becomes the source of crystal treasures. This ocean is truly amazing! And the countless wonderful causes and conditions that turn away attachment to Saṃsāra (cyclic existence). For example, like a skilled craftsman who, with illusion-like beautiful decorations, depicts the various forms of solid vessels and flowing essences in a picture, or like a clear mirror that reflects various images as they are. What is this state? For those who cannot speculate as it is, doubts arise, and they speak rashly. Furthermore, from the perspective of the enchanting beauty of changing appearances, it is like the behavior of a beautiful woman Dārikā (posture, behavior) who is skilled in the art of gestures. Those who are confused about the meaning of the words assert this. However, the truth of the matter is that these wonderful sights, like the waves of a clear ocean, swaying in all directions, appear only on the surface of the water, like selfless images. Apart from this state, there is nothing that can be established as a real entity. There are also other lakes that are mixed with various gold sands and jewels. When the waves of the lake rush in all directions, they appear like flames burning on a horse's head, displaying a bright red glow. Between and around the lakes described above and below, there are also other charming trees decorated by the creator's mind, like exquisite ornaments. Their roots remain vital, growing luxuriantly, with countless branches hanging down like shawls, bearing all kinds of fruits and spreading fragrance everywhere. So wonderful, becoming the source of miracles that can be fully understood, there are many other sights of the lakes. For example, relying on the power of mixing with black jewels, the color of the lake also takes on a deep blue glow, appearing very deep and immeasurable, and swirling in all directions.
