Homage! You are the oath-bound protector of the Dharma and teachings, the great field-protector, I prostrate to you! You are the chief of all mothers, possessing great power, the master of the charnel ground, I prostrate to you! You possess the mighty power to subdue evil guides, enemies, and obstacles, I praise you, Mahākāla! After praising in this way, arrange the previously prepared pieces of food neatly on the Torma, and recite: Hūṃ! The name of Mahākāla, the glorious Black Protector! You are the protector of the Victorious Ones' teachings, the guardian of the commands, the one who cuts off wickedness, possessing fierce strength and power, the hero who subdues demons, please heed my supplication! Offering the vast ocean of desire-fulfilling Torma, and various enjoyments and food offerings, to the glorious Black Great One! Please accept this offering in a joyful manner! Remembering your firm vows of the past, for the sake of us yogis and our retinue, pacify all inauspicious and harmful circumstances, and please accomplish all our desired aims! After reciting this, sprinkle the essence of the Torma—liquor—and offer it. Ho! Glorious Protector Mahākāla, perfect Black One, Lord of Assemblies, great radiant deity, master of the desire realm, physician of the three times' illnesses, life-force of all vidyādharas, war-god of all yogis, master of those who subdue demons, executioner of all oath-breakers, hero who subdues enemies and obstacles! Monarch who protects the teachings, four secret consorts of the charnel ground, retinue Ḍākinīs, seventy-eight glorious Protectors, twenty-one thousand soldiers, billions of divine troops, I offer this supreme offering to the glorious Black Great One and your retinue! Pray! Invite! Please accept the supreme offering! Please partake of this blazing nectar of oath-substances, and may you pacify all illnesses and harms of us yogis and our retinue, increase our lifespan and merit, subdue arrogant beings, and reduce obstacles and enemies to dust! Protect the teachings of the Buddha, praise the virtues of the Three Jewels, hoist prayer flags on the mountain peaks, blow conch shells in the marketplaces, and proclaim the fame throughout the entire world. May the banner of the imperishable Holy Dharma flutter in the sky! During the supplication, all praises and requests come from the scripture itself. According to the instructions and requests of the scripture, start from the front and arrange again. Hūṃ! From the beginning of the kalpa to the fluttering, start from the right side, similarly, the back and the left side, and then start from the front again, for a total of five times, and then wash the utensils with clean water, also offer it as a torma and put it away. Whatever kind of blessing I know how to do, accompanied by drums and melodies. After that, untie the protection lines. Strive to sprinkle blood wine, from the Dharma protectors in front, send messengers to spread throughout the three thousand worlds, accomplishing the four activities of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful without any obstacles. In particular, completely destroy all enemies, obstacles, and evil forces. Enjoy the flesh, blood, bones, etc., without leaving any traces. Visualize guiding the consciousness of the deceased to the Dharmadhatu. Hūṃ!
