Offered to the Protector and retinue. A wild yak with iron hooves and wrathful eyes, adorned with beautiful horns and a yak tail. Offered to the Protector and retinue. A black dog with conch-like fangs, possessing the strength of a lion, fierce and running. Offered to the Protector and retinue. A black sheep with iron horns, adorned with silk, this beautiful demon's wool treasure. Offered to the Protector and retinue. A black man, fierce, the slayer of life, driven to action, possessing great strength. Offered to the Protector and retinue. A glorious feast, abundant and supreme, adorned with bindus of blood. With this, I offer to Palden Gonpo (Glorious Protector, Shri Mahakala) and his retinue. Upon the immutable vajra rock, On a lotus seat free from faults, In the center of the sun that dries the swamp of samsara, On the corpse of the essence of selflessness, The Glorious Protector, the Black One, With one face and two arms, Holding a curved knife and a skull cup in his hands, Holding a ritual object adorned with a bell and vajra in the middle of his hands, With an open mouth, bared fangs, and three wide eyes, Adorned with a garland of heads as a necklace, Short in stature, blood dripping from his mouth, Majestic and terrifying. I beseech the protector who expands the Buddha's teachings, Fulfill your vows with your retinue. Fulfill the vows of Mahakala (Great Black One). Fulfill the vows of the wielder of the curved knife. With this offering of samaya substances and sacred objects, May the vows of the Glorious Protector and his retinue, Be fulfilled with steadfastness.
