Then, Lord Vajrapani (Tibetan: ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་, meaning: the one holding the vajra in hand), is blue in color, with one face and two arms. His right hand raises a five-pronged golden vajra towards the sky, causing all the evil influences of the stars above to be terrified; his left hand makes a threatening gesture at his heart, destroying all the harm from the nagas below. He has three round, red eyes, and his eyebrows, beard, and hair are reddish-yellow and stand on end. He wears a blue silk garment on his upper body and a tiger skin loincloth on his lower body. The eight great nagas adorn his body. This is according to the record of Dharma Lord Jamyangpa (Tibetan: འཇམ་དབྱངས་པ་), who possesses precious ornaments. With his right leg bent and his left leg extended, he dwells in the midst of blazing wisdom fire, transforming into the form of a great wrathful deity. On his forehead is Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal meaning: Homage), on his throat is Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, literal meaning: Arising), and on his heart is Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: Destruction). From the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: Destruction) at his heart, light radiates, inviting the wisdom being identical to himself to descend. Oṃ Vajra Samājaḥ (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra samājaḥ, literal meaning: Vajra come forth)! Vajra unites. Oṃ Vajra Arghaṃ (Tibetan: ཨརྒྷཾ, Romanized Sanskrit: arghaṃ, literal meaning: Water for washing feet)... (omitting offerings) Śapta Pratīccha Svāhā (Tibetan: ཤཔྟ་པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་སྭཱཧཱ, Romanized Sanskrit: śapta pratīccha svāhā, literal meaning: Accept the sound offering)! Music. Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ (Tibetan: ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, Romanized Sanskrit: jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ, literal meaning: Draw in and merge)! The commitment being and the wisdom being become one. Again, from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: Destruction) at his heart, light radiates, inviting the deities of power, the assembly of the five Buddha families, into the space in front. Oṃ Vajra Samājaḥ (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra samājaḥ, literal meaning: Vajra come forth)! Oṃ Vajra Arghaṃ (Tibetan: ཨརྒྷཾ, Romanized Sanskrit: arghaṃ, literal meaning: Water for washing feet)... (omitting offerings) Śapta Pratīccha Svāhā (Tibetan: ཤཔྟ་པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་སྭཱཧཱ, Romanized Sanskrit: śapta pratīccha svāhā, literal meaning: Accept the sound offering)! Music. Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Abhiṣiñcatu Māṃ (Tibetan: སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཏུ་མཾ, Romanized Sanskrit: sarva tathāgata abhiṣiñcatu māṃ, literal meaning: May all the Tathagatas consecrate me)! Join the palms. After praying in this way, all the Tathagatas bestow empowerment with the mudra of consecration. The consorts hold jeweled vases filled with the nectar of wisdom, just as when the Lord was born, the gods bathed his body with pure divine water, so too, I now bathe the sacred body with pure divine water. Oṃ Sarva Tathāgatā Abhiṣeka Te Samaya Śrī Hūṃ (Tibetan: སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏཱ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥེ་ཀ་ཏེ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཤྲཱི་ཧཱུྃ, Romanized Sanskrit: sarva tathāgatā abhiṣeka te samaya śrī hūṃ, literal meaning: All Tathagatas consecrate, the glorious Hūṃ of the vow)! Thus it is spoken, and nectar is poured from the vase onto the crown of the head, the whole body is filled with the stream of wisdom nectar, and the defilements of the three doors are purified. The remaining water overflows upwards, and the form of Amoghasiddhi Buddha manifests on the crown of the head as an ornament. Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ (Tibetan: ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, Romanized Sanskrit: jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ, literal meaning: Draw in and merge)! The deities of power also dissolve into oneself. The hand gestures are as before. Oṃ Nīlaṃ Vara Dhara Vajra Pāṇi Vajra Arghaṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ནཱི་ལཾ་ཝ་ར་དྷ་ར་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་བཛྲ་ཨརྒྷཾ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ nīlaṃ vara dhara vajra pāṇi vajra arghaṃ, literal meaning: Blue-clad Vajrapani, vajra water for washing feet)... (omitting offerings) Śapta Pratīccha Svāhā (Tibetan: ཤཔྟ་པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་སྭཱཧཱ, Romanized Sanskrit: śapta pratīccha svāhā, literal meaning: Accept the sound offering)! Music. Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: Destruction)! Homage to the Bhagavan, Vajra in blue garments, The eight great nagas adorn your body, Subduing anger is your excellent sign, I pay homage to the one who eliminates afflictions! Vajrapani, great in power, With the might of thrice-hurled vajra, You subdue the fierce yaksha hosts, I praise the one who tames the yakshas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
