Oṃ Supratiṣṭha Vajra Ye Svāhā. (Seed syllable and mantra). Scatter flowers on the mandala. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Vajra Muḥ. (Seed syllable and mantra). Cross your hands and shake the bell with your thumb and forefinger. The wisdom being descends. The samaya being dissolves into oneself. Visualize yourself clearly as Mahākaruṇā (Great Compassionate One), with Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Literal meaning: Om) at the forehead, Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal meaning: Ah) at the throat, and Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) at the heart. May I quickly attain enlightenment through this merit, and having attained the state of the Great Compassionate One, may I establish all beings without exception in that state. The supreme Bodhicitta (mind of enlightenment) is precious, etc. Never separate from Bodhicitta, etc. The Bodhisattvas, etc. May all sentient beings have happiness, etc. In all births and in all times, etc. The supreme of the supreme, etc. Ring the bell. The supreme and sacred teacher, etc. May it be concluded with auspiciousness. The three ways of subsequent conduct and the six yogas. Among the three ways of subsequent conduct and the six yogas, first, regarding the way of taking appearances as the body: during breaks between sessions, whatever appears to the eyes, contemplate it as the body of Mahākaruṇā, the union of clarity and emptiness, and abandon grasping appearances as ordinary. Regarding the way of taking sounds as speech: whatever sounds are heard by the ears, contemplate them as the six-syllable mantra. Regarding the way of taking thoughts as mind: whatever good or bad thoughts arise in the mind, contemplate them as the dharmadhātu (realm of phenomena) free from elaboration, inseparable from the mind of Mahākaruṇā. The first of the six yogas, the yoga of eating food: whatever food is available, bless it as nectar with Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. If there are offerings, make the first offering, alcohol offering, etc.; even if there are none, contemplate all appearances as Mahākaruṇā and enjoy them. The second, the yoga of wearing clothes: whatever clothes are available, bless them as divine garments with the three syllables (Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ), and visualize offering them to the body of oneself visualized as Mahākaruṇā. The third, the yoga of dwelling in a place: whatever country or house, bless it as a palace with the three syllables (Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ). Visualize a lotus and moon seat, and contemplate oneself, the union of all, sitting there. The fourth, the yoga of sleeping: after the evening session, pray to the guru who is the embodiment of all at the crown of the head: 'Please bless me to have many dreams, to recognize dreams as dreams, and to realize dreams as clear light.' Pray strongly, and due to the rays of light emanating from the Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Hrih) at the heart, the guru Amitābha at the crown of the head emerges from the Brahma aperture, passes through the central channel, and dissolves into the heart of the wisdom being Mahākaruṇā.

From the retreat, red light emanates from the body, visualizing the Yidam (本尊) clearly. From the Yidam, white light emanates, visualizing the Lama (上师) clearly, focusing on it, and then falling asleep. Initially, whatever dream arises, recognize that it is a dream. Realize that it is the Clear Light of Dharmadhatu (法界光明). After becoming accustomed to it, through the gate of transformation, gradually learn to listen to the Dharma (佛法) from the Buddhas of the ten directions, etc. Fifth, if you want to practice Phowa (迁识法) and sixth, Bardo Yoga (中阴瑜伽), you should learn from the instruction manual. Such a session should be conducted as follows: Initially, start from the evening session and end before the sun has completely set. Again, start after it is completely dark, and do as before until drowsiness sets in, then sleep with the Yoga of Sleep. At dawn, about one-eighth of the sky, rise with the three awakenings, from taking refuge to auspicious prayers, and then end at the top of the mountain before the sun rises. If you are doing Torma (朵玛) offerings and longevity practices, do them here. Then start again and end before the sun is halfway up. Have lunch here, and if you are doing circumambulation and prostrations, do them and rest a little. Then start a session, and end it similarly. If you are doing Torma offerings to Dharma Protectors, do a brief self-generation of Heruka (杰多) and other deities after the evening session. If there are protective circles like Drakdzongma (扎炯玛), do them after the evening session. In short, twice in the morning and evening, plus twice at noon and midnight, these four times are when meditation collapses, so be skilled in arranging retreat breaks, and then be as diligent as possible. However, if you are too diligent from the beginning, you will not be able to sustain it later. Therefore, it is crucial to relax at first, strive in the middle, and gradually relax at the end. From the beginning of the retreat until the end, maintain silence. Even if not, from taking refuge to auspicious prayers, do not speak of mundane chatter, let alone anything else. Do not recite prayers to the Lama or other Yidams. Except for drinking a little tea, avoid other food as much as possible. Keep lunch like a pill nearby and eat it there. If you are lazy or unable to do it, look at the biography of Jetsun Milarepa (杰尊·米拉日巴), etc. Do not engage in unnecessary reading, lecturing, writing, etc. Before the retreat ends, do not cut hair or nails, do not wash hands or feet, do not shake the cushion, do not sweep the room, etc., as these are key to quickly attaining Siddhi (成就). If letters are sent from other places, explain in advance that you will not reply during this time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
