May I realize the intentions of the Buddhas of the three times, and without falling into samsara or abiding in nirvana, liberate beings as vast as the sky. To the assembly of Lamas who perfectly possess the three kayas, I offer outer, inner, and secret offerings, just as they are. Please accept my body, possessions, and all that appears and exists, and grant me the supreme and ultimate siddhi. Great Vajradhara Lama and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions, please pay attention to me. I, named (so and so), from beginningless time in samsara until now, due to the power of the afflictions of desire, hatred, and ignorance, through the actions of body, speech, and mind, have committed the ten non-virtuous actions, the five heinous crimes, the five near heinous crimes, violated the vows of individual liberation, the precepts of the Bodhisattva, and the samayas of Secret Mantra, disrespected the Three Jewels, father and mother, Khenpo and Lopon, disrespected fellow practitioners of the same vows, abandoned the sacred Dharma, embezzled the scriptures, slandered the noble Sangha, and so forth. In short, all the accumulations of sins, obscurations, and transgressions that are obstacles to higher realms and liberation, and are the cause of samsara and the lower realms, whatever I have done, caused others to do, or rejoiced in others doing, I confess and reveal all of these before the great Vajradhara Lama and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions. I will not conceal them, I will not hide them, and in the future, I will also restrain myself. Repeat three times: 'Due to the power of desire, hatred, and ignorance, I have committed sins with body, speech, and mind. I confess them all individually.' and so on. Just as the sky is endless, so are all sentient beings. Just as karma and afflictions are endless, so is my confession of sins. So is my offering. I prostrate to all the Tathagatas! I prostrate to the noble Avalokiteśvara, the Great Compassionate One! Just as the Tathagatas of the past, the Arhats, the perfectly complete Buddhas, such as the well-knowing horse king, the great elephant king, have done what needed to be done, have accomplished what needed to be accomplished, have laid down the burden, have attained their own benefit, have completely exhausted samsara, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those with correct teachings, minds completely liberated, and wisdom of complete liberation, for the sake of all sentient beings, for benefit, for liberation, for freedom from illness, for freedom from famine, for the complete fulfillment of the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, and for the manifestation of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, perform the Uposatha (布萨，a Buddhist observance). Similarly, I, by the name of 'so-and-so,' for the sake of all sentient beings, for benefit, for liberation, for freedom from illness, for freedom from famine, for the complete fulfillment of the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, and for the manifestation of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, from this time until the sun rises tomorrow, I will properly take the vows of the Uposatha.' Repeat this three times. From today onwards, I will not kill, nor will I take the wealth of others, nor will I engage in sexual activity, nor will I speak false words. I shall completely abstain from alcohol, which is the basis for many faults. I will not sit on high, large beds, and similarly, I will not eat at improper times. I will abstain from perfumes, garlands, ornaments, and dances and songs. Just as the Arhats (阿罗汉，one who has attained nirvana) always do not kill, etc., so too, I abstain from killing, etc. May I quickly attain unsurpassed enlightenment! May I be liberated from this world of suffering and confusion, from the ocean of existence!' Recite this three times.
