became a suitable vessel. Ninth, as stated in the 'Secret General Tantra': 'Pour water infused with incense blessed by mantra into a vessel and give it three times.' Therefore, recite 'vaṃ' (藏文:བཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'vaṃ') seven times over the water born from 'vaṃ' (藏文:བཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'vaṃ'), then recite: 'Oṃ hrīḥ viśuddha dharma ni-car-ya sarva saṃ-śvādhāya sarva vi-ka-pa-la a-pa-na-ye hūṃ' (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཧྲཱིཿབི་ཤུདྡྷ་དྷརྨཱ་ནི་ཙཪྻ་སརྦ་སཾ་ཤྭ་དྷ་ཡ་སརྦ་བི་ཀ་པ་ལ་ཨ་པ་ན་ཡེ་ཧཱུྃ།). Recite three times and have them drink it. This makes them a suitable vessel for receiving the secret empowerment. Tenth, giving the protection cord: As stated in the 'Jewel Blazing': 'Then make three knots, and tie the protection cord on the left arm.' Therefore, purify with Yamantaka. From emptiness, from 'hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'hūṃ') arises a red thread, equal to the size of the Vajra disciple's body, twist it into three strands, and tie three Vajra knots. From the heart of the master, light radiates, striking the assembly of deities of the preliminary practice. From the hearts of those deities, countless assemblies of wisdom threads are invited and dissolve inseparably into the samaya thread. Bless by reciting Yamantaka three times. Therefore, have the male wear this thread on the right and the female on the left, with the faith that it protects all obstacles of body, speech, and mind. Recite 'hrīḥ ṣṭi' (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿཥྚི་) and wrap it around twice, offering inner offerings on top of the knot. Recite: 'Oṃ buddha maitri rakṣa rakṣa sarva svāhā' (藏文:ཨོཾ་བུདྡྷ་མཻ་ཏྲི་རཀྵ་རཀྵ་སརྦ་སྭཱཧཱ།), and place the Vajra crossed vajra to stabilize it. By doing so, body, speech, and mind are enlightened into the nature of Vajra, and no demons or anything else can harm them. This makes them a suitable vessel for the latter two empowerments. Eleventh, as stated in the 'General Tantra': 'The kusha grass sprout should not be damaged, give the one born from 'dhīḥ' (藏文:དྷཱིཿ,梵文天城体:धीः,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'dhīḥ').' Therefore, purify with Yamantaka, purify with svābhāva. From emptiness, from 'dhīḥ' (藏文:དྷཱིཿ,梵文天城体:धीः,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'dhīḥ') and 'hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'hūṃ') arises green kusha grass, with roots and tips intact, possessing the power to make dreams clear and not confused. Recite 'hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'hūṃ') seven times to bless it. Give the larger kusha grass born from 'dhīḥ' (藏文:དྷཱིཿ,梵文天城体:धीः,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'dhīḥ') on the right and the smaller one born from 'hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable 'hūṃ') on the left, reciting: 'Oṃ vajra tikṣa dhīḥ' (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཏིཀྵ་དྷཱིཿ) 'Oṃ vajra tikṣa hūṃ' (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཏིཀྵ་ཧཱུྃ།), give the larger one as a seat lengthwise and the smaller one as a pillow crosswise, because these kusha grasses are the perfect substances for accomplishing activities, eliminating the impurity of dreams and making dreams appear clearly. Just as all Buddhas attained enlightenment by relying on kusha grass seats, you too will effortlessly obtain kusha grass seats at the time of enlightenment, thus making the interdependent origination auspicious.

Generating Joy: In this world, the all-knowing ones (Skt: sarvajña) are like the udumbara flower. They appear occasionally in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, or may not appear at all. The practice of secret mantra is even rarer, as it accomplishes the incomparable benefit of sentient beings and is the supreme practice. If one can practice this, it is a great ability. In countless kalpas, whatever sins one has committed in the past, upon seeing such a mandala, they are exhausted. If one abides in the practice, the fame is boundless. What need is there to mention that if the protector recites the secret mantra, one will attain the supreme state? Whoever, with unwavering intelligence, practices that supreme practice, will be freed from the source of all suffering, the evil realms. Great beings, you have found the incomparable attainment today. Because you are the children of the victorious ones and their heirs, this teaching is the teaching of all great beings. You all uphold this teaching and are constantly reborn. Therefore, you will enter the Great Vehicle and be born in a supreme manner. This supreme path that arises from the Great Vehicle is endowed with glory. Since you have entered here, you will become the Thus-Gone One (Tathagata), the self-born great kalpa, who knows all the worlds. The meaning of this is: just as the udumbara flower is rare, the appearance of a Buddha in the world is rare. After appearing, teaching the Dharma is rare. Among the teachings, teaching the secret mantra Vajrayana is especially rare. As it says in the Guhyasamaja Tantra: 'The Great Compassionate One up to Dipamkara Buddha, and even the Abhasvara Buddha, did not teach it.' In the future, Maitreya to Ruci will also not teach it. Only the present Buddha Shakyamuni teaches it due to his aspiration, so it is extremely rare. Since it is so rare, what is the benefit? Is it like the rarity of a lotus in the sky or a rabbit's horn? No, this rarity is completely different and is endowed with great benefits. Just as a small lamp, as soon as it is lit, dispels the darkness of kalpas. Tomorrow or the next day, merely seeing this great mandala will purify all obscurations. If merely seeing the mandala has such benefits, what need is there to say that one who has the preliminary practice of entering, enters this great mandala, and receives profound empowerment, will exhaust many sins? Thus, the meaning is explained. Thirteenth, during the blessing of the tsok offering cake, the mandala should be visualized for one kalpa, the offering should be prepared as one torma, enjoyed during the tsok, and then the remaining offerings should be placed where they have not been placed before. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
