From the syllable ག (ka, Tibetan alphabet) emanates light, and from the realm of self-nature, the five families of empowerment deities with their retinues, surrounded by assemblies of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, are invited in the space before you with 'ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ (Om Vajra Sa Ma Ja, Sanskrit: Om Vajra Samaja, meaning: Om Vajra Assemble)'. With 'ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧྲཱིཿཔྲ་ཝ་ར་སརྐ་ར་ཨརྒྷཾ་པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Ah Hrih Pravara Sarkara Argham Pratitsa Hum Phet Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Ah Hrih Pravara Sarkara Argham Pratichchha Hum Phat Svaha, meaning: Om Ah Hrih Excellent Offering Receive Hum Phat Svaha)' etc., and from 'ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པུཥྤེ་ (Om Vajra Puspe, Sanskrit: Om Vajra Pushpe, meaning: Om Vajra Flower)' to 'ཤཔྟ་ཨཱ་ཧཱུྃ་ (Shapta Ah Hum, Sanskrit: Shabda Ah Hum, meaning: Sound Ah Hum)', offer with mudras. The one holding the vajra and bell says: 'O Vajradhara Buddha, for the sake of saving beings, you bestow empowerment. As you bestow the source of qualities, I request that you bestow it upon me in the same way.' Once, from his heart emerges the chief queen, holding objects in both hands, visualizing the purification taking place, visualizing the objects of purification, and sprinkling the water of the activity vase, reciting 'ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་ (Om Vajra Amrita, Sanskrit: Om Vajra Amrita, meaning: Om Vajra Nectar)' etc. All the sins and obscurations that I have accumulated from beginningless time, and the obstructing demons and heretics that hinder the reception of empowerment, are all purified with mustard seeds. Recite 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་པ་པཱཾ་ད་ཧ་ན་བཛྲ་ཡ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་སྱ་སརྦ་པཱ་པཾ་ད་ཧ་ན་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Sarva Papam Dahana Vajra Ya Vajra Sattva Sya Sarva Papam Dahana Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Sarva Papam Dahana Vajra Ya Vajra Sattvasya Sarva Papam Dahana Svaha, meaning: Om All Sins Burn Vajra Ya Vajra Sattva All Sins Burn Svaha)', rotating to the right. Again, recite 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ (Om Sarva, Sanskrit: Om Sarva, meaning: Om All)' etc., rotating to the left. Recite 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ (Om Sarva, Sanskrit: Om Sarva, meaning: Om All)' etc., both rotating to the right, and then throw them into the fire and water. Similarly, purify with water, reciting 'ཨོཾ་ཧཱུྃ་ཌ་ཌི་ཏ་ཕཊ། (Om Hum Da Di Ta Phet, Sanskrit: Om Hum Da Di Ta Phat, meaning: Om Hum Da Di Ta Phat)', pour a little fire into the water. Purify with soma wine in a white skull cup, reciting 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་སཾ་ཤོ་དྷ་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Sarva Samshodhani Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Sarva Samshodhani Svaha, meaning: Om All Purifying Svaha)'. Purify with sandalwood branches and rhododendron sprouts, reciting 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་མ་ལ་ཨ་ཝ་ར་ཎ་བི་ཤོ་དྷ་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Sarva Mala Avarana Vishodhani Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Sarva Mala Avarana Vishodhani Svaha, meaning: Om All Impurities Obscurations Purifying Svaha)'. Purify with dregs of wine and burning wicks, reciting 'ཨོཾ་པུཎྱེ་ཛྙཱ་ན་དྷ་རེ་སཾ་བྷོདྡྷ་ཀ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Punye Jñana Dhare Sambhoddha Kāya Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Punya Jnana Dhare Sambhoddha Kaya Svaha, meaning: Om Merit Wisdom Holder Sambhogakaya Svaha)'. Visualize purifying with a white cloth, reciting 'ཨོཾ་སརྦ་སཾ་ཤོ་དྷ་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Sarva Samshodhani Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Sarva Samshodhani Svaha, meaning: Om All Purifying Svaha)'. These six objects are taken as ransom for the six senses, leave this place and go elsewhere. Shake the vajra, shake the bell vigorously, recite 'ཨོཾ་བྷྲཱུཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Om Bhrum Svaha, Sanskrit: Om Bhrum Svaha, meaning: Om Bhrum Svaha)', and recite the activity mantra, visualizing discarding them. Then, to perform the near touch, sit in a squatting position, holding water between the knees with cupped hands, take water with the ring finger of the right hand, and perform the near touch on the lips etc., visualizing the purification of dirt and impurities. Three times on the lips, twice on the eyes, twice on the ears, twice on the nostrils, twice on the lips, twice on the elbows, on the top of the head, on the abdomen, in a wiping manner.
