May the streams of milk flowing from the earth satiate the pretas, and may they be forever cool after bathing! Thus it is said. The single offering is: Pour water seven times into three medium-sized offering bowls, and recite: Om, jala midam sarva preta bhyah svaha! Om, this water, all, hungry ghosts, to the, Svaha!) May all the pretas, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, be satisfied and satiated! Thus it is said. The leftover offering is: Pour tsampa and water into the smallest offering bowl, and recite: Om, ucchista pinda sarva prete bhyoḥ sa mā bhyaḥ svāhā! Om, leftovers, food ball, all, hungry ghosts, to the, with, them, Svaha!) I offer to all who have become guests of the leftovers. May they have abundant food, drink, and enjoyment! Thus it is said. Then, the power of truth and the giving of Dharma, etc., are: Homage! By the power of my thought, and the power of the Tathagata's giving, and the power of the Dharmadhatu, may all the things that are thought of, may all of them, each in its own way, come to pass without hindrance! All dharmas arise from causes. The Tathagata has spoken of these causes, and the Great Shramana has spoken of their cessation. Do no evil, practice perfect virtue, subdue your own mind, this is the teaching of the Buddha. The discipline of the body is good, the discipline of speech is good, the discipline of the mind is good, in all ways discipline is good. The ascetic who guards all things will surely be liberated from all suffering. Dharmas are like reflections, pure, clear, and without defilement, ungraspable and unspeakable, arising from causes and actions, without essence and without location. Knowing dharmas in this way, act unequaled for the benefit of sentient beings, and be born as a son of the Buddha. By the giving of Dharma and material things, may the two accumulations be perfected and the two obscurations be purified, and may I quickly attain unsurpassed enlightenment! Whatever faults there may be in this virtuous act due to my foolish mind, may the Protector, who is the refuge of beings, forgive them all! Om, may you accomplish all the purposes of sentient beings, grant the siddhis that are in accordance, and after going to the Buddha-field, may you also be pleased to return! Om, Vajra Muh! Om, Vajra, Muh!) By the power of this vast giving.
