And, by familiarizing oneself with the two accumulations of ultimate wisdom, the result of attaining Buddhahood is as stated in the Chapter on Grounds: "Thus, relying on merit and wisdom, the supreme liberation arises. For the sake of oneself and the benefit of beings, all gradual goodness is accomplished." This is the first view. The second view is that of the Consequentialists (Prasaṅgika), who hold that in both truths, all phenomena are without inherent existence and are free from the extremes of elaboration. As stated in the Entering the Middle Way (Madhyamakāvatāra): "Because in both truths there is no inherent existence, these are neither permanent nor annihilated." And as stated in the Root Wisdom (Mūlamadhyamakakārikā): "Because of dependent arising, there is no cessation, no arising, no annihilation, no permanence, no coming, no going, no difference, no oneness, the pacification of all elaborations. I prostrate to the Buddha, the King of Dharma, who taught this." Therefore, these various internal and external phenomena, from the very moment of their appearance, are devoid of the three characteristics of arising, abiding, and ceasing, and are not established in any way. Therefore, it is held that they appear in any way. As stated in the Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness (Śūnyatāsaptati): "In emptiness, all these are suitable, but in non-emptiness, they are not suitable." And as stated in the Commentary on the Awakening Mind (Bodhicittavivaraṇa): "Just as the nature of sugarcane is sweetness, and the nature of fire is heat, so the nature of all phenomena abides in emptiness. Conventional reality is explained as emptiness, and emptiness alone is conventional reality, like fabrication and impermanence, because without it, it is certain not to arise." That is to say, although they appear as arising and ceasing, arising and ceasing are not established, just like the nature of illusion. All phenomena are like that. Although they appear as samsara and nirvana, samsara and nirvana are not established. As stated in the Root Wisdom (Mūlamadhyamakakārikā): "Like a dream, like an illusion, like a magical creation, like a city of gandharvas, so are birth, abiding, and destruction also taught." And it is said: "What is the difference between samsara and nirvana? Even the slightest difference does not exist." Therefore, all phenomena are equal in appearance, equal in emptiness, and equal in being ungraspable. Therefore, the conventional realities of right and wrong are also explained as having the same nature. As stated in the Entering the Middle Way (Madhyamakāvatāra): "There is no difference in the function of the state of waking from a dream, because dreams are like what is dreamed, and because the function is the same, there is no inherent existence." Conventional reality is merely the aspect of appearance in name, and the nature is

In terms of the ultimate truth, as stated in the Root Wisdom: "Apart from the conventional, the ultimate is not observed; apart from the ultimate, the conventional is not observed." The former also states: "By false vision, one grasps the two natures of things; the object of true vision is the ultimate, and false vision is said to be the conventional truth." However, since both lack inherent existence, they cannot be established as either one or different. Just as a mirage is not truly water, there is no conventional mirage water, nor is there an ultimate nature of it, which cannot be established or distinguished. Thus, having determined that all phenomena appear but lack inherent existence, accumulating the two accumulations of the path like illusions, the two bodies of the result are spontaneously accomplished through illusion. As stated in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning: "By this virtue, may all beings accumulate the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, and may they quickly attain the two supreme ones arising from merit and wisdom." Also, as stated in the Sutra Requested by the Excellent Arm of the Magician: "By what giving is given to whom, how is giving not perceived? By the equality of giving itself, may Excellent Arm attain perfection. Accumulating the accumulations like illusions, becoming enlightened like illusions, for the sake of sentient beings like illusions, may I perform benefits like illusions. All phenomena are like illusions, enlightenment is also like an illusion, may the Buddha like an illusion perform benefits with deeds like illusions." Thus, at the end of the ten grounds, by meditating on the vajra-like samadhi, when all obscurations are pacified, all the activities of mind and mental factors dissolve into the realm of dharma, becoming one taste with the dharmakaya. As stated in the Engaging in Bodhisattva Deeds: "When the dry firewood of knowable things is completely burned and extinguished, that is the peaceful body of the Buddhas; at that time, there is neither birth nor cessation. The cessation of mind is the manifestation of the Buddha." Thus, when the holy dharmakaya is accomplished for one's own benefit, due to the power of previous aspirations and the accumulation of karmic affinity for the form body to appear to those to be tamed, the appearance of body and wisdom to others is like an illusion. To the bodhisattvas abiding on the grounds, the enjoyment body appears, and to others, the emanation body appears according to what needs to be tamed.
