Dza! Fleeting fame deceives one's own mind. Now, if one meditates on the original, intrinsic meaning, it is good to meditate on the clear light of Dharma nature. Possessions are like the honey of bees; one accumulates them, but others enjoy them. Now, it is good to hide all food, wealth, and enjoyment as a treasure of generosity. Body and speech not pacified are like a madman; unrestrained afflictions flow freely. Now, if the three doors are completely tamed, it is good to be adorned with the ornament of discipline. Malicious thoughts are like a great fire in the forest, burning the firewood of virtue in one's own continuum. Now, if one puts on the armor of patience, it is good to pull out the thorn of anger. Laziness is like the sleep of a buffalo; there is no time when what is done is completed. Now, if one whips the iron of diligence, it is good to urge on the excellent horse of intelligence. The illusion of samsara is like a magic trick; distraction and busyness deceive day and night. Now, if one meditates on the meaning of contemplation, it is good to abide alone in a secluded place. Ignorance is like the darkness of night; one cannot see the form of Dharma and non-Dharma. Now, if one uses the lamp of wisdom, it is good to listen and contemplate without bias. Busyness is like wrinkles in water; there is no completion of what is to be done. Now, if one puts aside all the affairs of this life, it is good to leave them behind. Having, yet wanting more, is like a rich man; no matter how wealthy, one is never content. Now, if one does not cling to illusory wealth, it is good to let go of attachment. Self-grasping is like a binding rope, binding me in the prison of samsara. Now, if one is not attached to anything, it is good to transform appearances into Dharmakaya. A qualified gem is like a precious jewel, raining down the happiness of this life and the next. Now, if one relies on the supreme lama, it is good to practice the sacred Dharma. Knowable things are like the stars in the sky; there is no end to what needs to be learned. Now, if one meditates on the meaning of the essence of Dharmakaya, the profound Suchness is good. Words are like the recitation of a parrot; there is much confusion between Dharma and one's own continuum. Now, if one puts what one knows into practice, it is good to tame the afflictions of one's own continuum. Sectarianism is like the saliva of a rakshasa, binding oneself. Now, if one does not acknowledge or cling to the meaning of the Dharma nature free from extremes, it is good. View and meditation are like the empty talk of a blind man; much talk, but little effect. Now, if the meaning of the mind itself as Dharmakaya, whether it is true or not, transcends thought, it is good. Warm signs are like a child's food; one clings to even a little.

Whatever experiences and realizations arise, it is good to be free from attachment and clinging. Wanting to practice is like a merchant accumulating profits, always expecting future desires. Now, understanding the meaning of the ultimate Dharmakaya, it is good to realize the spontaneously accomplished nature. Samsara and Nirvana are like the good and bad of a dream, all are self-appearing, rootless forms of emptiness. Now, without the duality of acceptance and rejection, it is good to hold the awareness in its own place. The eight worldly dharmas are like a sick person's pillow, no matter what you do, there is no comfort. Now, abandoning this life, it is good to dismantle the aggregates of name and form. Hope is like an old dog chasing food on the road, desire and reality are always contradictory. Now, having broken the mind of desire, it is good to rely on whatever arises. Actions are like children's games, you can't grasp them by doing, but you can grasp them by letting go. Now, in the state of the uncreated Dharmakaya, it is good to dissolve the mind at the end. The Vajra Song that combines metaphor and meaning, gathers the provisional and definitive meanings. Offered to those with faith, may virtue thoroughly sweep away the abyss of samsara! . The Vajra Song of metaphor, meaning, and definitive meaning, was composed by the Great Perfection Yogi Longchen Rabjam for the benefit of those with faith, in the secluded place of Lhundrup Ling, may it be virtuous! Realization is like the expanse of the ocean of Dharmata, like the embrace of the unchanging sky. Boundless and vast without end or center, its meaning transcends thought. Whatever appears is the nature of self-arising awareness, appearance and emptiness are baseless and rootless. Unobstructed appearance is clear and transparent, the clarity of appearance without object appearance. Whatever arises is the emptiness of non-discrimination, naturally vanishing, non-discriminating, and rootless. Appearance-liberation awareness is wide open, grasping and being grasped are primordially empty and rootless. Self-arising wisdom is Dharmata, grasping and being grasped are non-discriminating, pure like the sky. . Vast liberation is nakedly revealed in the Dharmakaya, the Great Perfection beyond thought. The basis of self-arising primordial purity, the path that is inherently near without going. The result of spontaneously accomplishing without cultivation, perfected in the clear light Dharmakaya. The all-pervading realm of primordial Dharmata, the meaning of Samsara and Nirvana Great Perfection. The song that transcends cause and effect and effort, sung beautifully by Longchen Rabjam. Called "The Primordial Vajra Song," composed by the Great Perfection Yogi Longchen Rabjam in the secluded place of Lhundrup Ling, may it be virtuous! . The auspiciousness of purity like the sky
