Unsatisfied! The meaning of self-awareness Dzogchen is effortless. For the nature that is without good or bad, benefit or harm, why is it necessary to obscure it with the clouds of view, meditation, and action? It cannot be seen with the intellect, nor can it be meditated upon by the mind. In the past, with all the doctrines of effort and attachment, one has wandered in this samsara, experiencing only suffering. Now, in this moment of effortless self-liberation, birth and liberation are equal; realize good and bad in this way. Whether realized or unrealized, one is self-liberated in one's own place. If the mind of a moment has no color or shape, then contemplate the doctrines that depend on it! This mind of awareness, the self-liberated Dharmakaya, seems to flee from the ocean of Buddhas. At that time, the mind is also naturally deluded. There is no need to accept or reject; realize this crucial point of awareness. For the meaning of realization, a mind without interruption, both remain pure like the flow of a river. Even after attaining the ultimate essence, one desires to attain Buddhahood with an effortful mind. It is like finding a treasure and then seeking bonds. Alas! Even striving for eons, it is rare to be liberated. The meaning of the essence of auspicious, clear light wisdom, although everyone has it, no one realizes it. Although it is near, it is like a blind person not seeing. Alas! I am blessed by the kindness of the great lama, illuminated by the light of compassion, and I listen completely. From the beginning, it is self-abiding, primordially pure, spontaneously accomplished, possessing the essence of essence, nature, and compassion. Buddhas and sentient beings have no limits, no partiality, and abide in the great clear light, the common ground of all. From that nature, spontaneously accomplished radiance arises. In an instant, the power of compassionate awareness stirs. Awareness, Samantabhadra, is enlightened at the ground. Even if unaware and deluded, I and all sentient beings are clear in the form of a youthful vase body in the center of the heart. Essence, nature, and compassion abide in three. Essence is inconceivable, and cannot be indicated as "this." Nature is clear light, the light of five precious colors. In the white silk channel, gathered in the ocean, in the pure sky, the rays of light are clear separately. In the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, which is without gathering or scattering, is the iron hook of the object of focus, without grasping or fixation. By familiarizing oneself with clear light itself, the body and environment are liberated, and deluded appearances dissolve into the Sambhogakaya. When thoughts with grasping and appearances self-vanish, the appearance of the Sambhogakaya dissolves into the nature of primordial purity. Vase

That body is self-luminous and spontaneously accomplished. By the absorption of omniscience into all-knowingness, The wisdom of the all-knowing three bodies is inseparable. In the realm of the ocean of wisdom, it is clear and bright. Not permanent, not annihilated, self-nature spontaneously accomplished. Immovable, speechless, abiding in the state of the Dharmakaya. Knowing the world to be tamed, radiating light, From the state of the Dharmakaya, this appearance of the Sambhogakaya, Intelligence, the five bodies, the five wisdoms, and so on, Like light from crystal, the Sambhogakaya realm appears. From that, the nature of the Nirmanakaya, the vessel and essence, Showing various things there, according to the inclinations of those to be tamed. Whatever needs taming, appears in that form, simultaneously transforming, Completely leading all beings to be tamed from samsara. The Nirmanakaya and Sambhogakaya dissolve into the vase body, Just as before, in the state of great primordial purity, Abiding in the spontaneously accomplished nature. Thus, although the meaning of realizing self-appearance is spoken, For those without fortune, clouds of wrong views gather, Rains of evil words spread in all directions. Alas, those who dwell alone feel great joy. Although the clear light of realizing one's own place, the sun, rises, The gatherings of evil-minded darkness are greatly bewildered, Not seeing the beautiful form of the spontaneously accomplished Dharmakaya, Afflicted by ignorance, suffering, and disturbing emotions. Well-endowed with the wealth of intelligence and learning, With the wings of experience and realization fully developed, Yet, like a solitary deer among inferior beings, How will I ever be able to benefit them? The "Hidden Treasure of Precious Secrets," in the secluded place called "Eye of the Cliff Cave" (Yaphuk), when I went to the presence of the venerable Lama Kumaraja, at that time, while diligently practicing Trekchö, I wrote down this stream of thought and offered it. The precious Lama was very pleased and praised, saying, "Orché! Orché! A son is born to the father!" He said, "Do not show this writing to anyone except those who have attained the unsurpassed Dharma," and sealed it. Buddhas and sentient beings are not two. Beyond the realm of elaboration. Realization and non-realization are not different. Buddha is the Dharmakaya. Samsara and Nirvana are not two. If you know that grasping at duality is an illusion, that is enough. This teaching called "The Instantaneous Revelation of Weaknesses, Buddha Hand in Hand," is the complete, uncommon realm of experience for individuals with karma and fortune.
