They went to his feet, prostrated with faith, and said: Who can completely cut off the bonds and lead beings to the path of enlightenment? Please show us the realm of the compassionate Bodhisattva and the way to travel by boat. The monk said, "Where did you come from?" They replied, "From the Snowy Mountains." The monk said, "Oh, those with beautiful faces and good fortune, the path to your destination is in the east from here. Although it can be understood by relying on detailed texts, it is difficult to travel. You are especially fortunate, because it is said that after twelve years, the noble Avalokiteśvara will appear on the island where the Kumuda flowers bloom on the shore of the eastern sea to teach the Dharma to the Nagas. Now ten years have passed, and you will surely meet soon." The goose said, "If I cannot stay there for so long, please grant me another method." The monk said, "If that is the case, then stay for half a month, and a goose from Potalaka will come here to listen to the Dharma, go with it." They also agreed, saying, "Okay," and for half a month, during the day they listened to the Dharani ritual of the noble Amoghpāśa from that Dharma-speaking monk, as well as the profound Dharma such as the Amoghpāśa Tantra, and at night they stayed by the flower-decorated sea. At the foot of the sacred snow mountain, the geese, longing for the delightful stream of hearing, seemed to be lost in a lotus pond, drinking the essence of the profound meaning like honey.
