Having said this, he gradually approached it, and saw a pond surrounded by sandalwood vines, completely filled with water, covered with various flowers, and various water birds playing and flying. Good-Face said: "The young maidens with blooming flowers, together with the beautiful birds, flourish anew in the pond, is this the lotus pond of the gods?" The Swan King said: "The waves of the pond ripple, the reflection of the vines is captured, the leaves with strings of bubbles flourish, as if surpassing wish-fulfilling jewels." Having said this, they went to the site of the city. There, filled with crowds of people, the towns and temples were close to the sea, so in winter the sunlight was not too hot, and the moonlight mixed with the color of the water was very cool like a sandalwood garden. Spring, summer, and autumn, the moonlight was not very cool, and the power of the sunlight falling into the sea, like a pile of clear crystal jewels, was very hot. Most of the time, there was a hazy mist, and from the swirling waves, tiny droplets of water fell like drizzle, and various sounds of bees buzzed. The various kinds of birds dwelling there greeted and praised them with great joy, saying: Not born from a lotus lake, Nor opened by the bright sunlight, Yet possessing the glory of a lotus face. Beautiful ones, where have you come from? The swan king said: A delightful place with limitless qualities, Like a great lake, the source of flourishing lotuses. From a place well surrounded by the crests of snow mountains, We have come to this peaceful place. They said: O good one, what are the qualities of that place?
