Where to go? The island of poisonous snakes in samsara, where there is never any happiness, From the city tormented by hundreds of karmas and kleshas, I go to the island of peace and jewels, the place of liberation. Avalokiteshvara dwells there, I go to meditate. Having not accumulated attachment, stinginess, and miserliness, I do not have wealth that brings joy to all beings. Possessing the wealth of contentment, the noble one, Avalokiteshvara dwells there, I go to meditate. Affection and dislike, likewise my body, Even though gathered together, they have the nature of separating individually. Having seen the way of impermanence, devoid of essence, Avalokiteshvara dwells there, I go to meditate. On the face of the compassionate snow mountain, the sun rises, A wondrous stream of blessings, cool and flowing, descends. Pacifying the fires of suffering in the minds of beings, Avalokiteshvara dwells there, I go to meditate. After saying this, the flocks of birds uttered mournful cries of sorrow, Offering flowers and circumambulating, they sat at the feet of that swan king, saying: Alas! Good-winged one, please show us the supreme feast of the nectar of the sacred Dharma. The swan said: Friends, life is fleeting like autumn clouds, Accumulation will be exhausted, and those who gather will also separate. Prosperity will decline, and impermanence is without essence. These beings have the nature of four endings, From today onwards, you must realize this. The river of karma and kleshas is difficult to reverse, And the violent waves of suffering are difficult to endure. Alas! It is difficult to escape from the ocean of existence, From today onwards, strive to cross over. Children are like being in a pit of venomous snakes, And desirable objects are like salty water. In short, all the various faults of samsara, From today onwards, you must realize this. From now on, remember the qualities of peace, And in a solitary place, generate the mind of enlightenment. On a wide seat, stretch out your body in comfort, And abide in the natural state of mind, as it is. Rest in the state of self-nature, free from elaboration. Afterwards, dedicate the merit with the purity of the three spheres. The lotus with a thousand petals of emptiness and the essence of compassion, Certainly, the Buddha Padma will appear soon. After saying this, they departed from that pond, and the many flocks of geese saw the medicine

Having been led to a place covered with various kinds of trees, they prostrated with faith and uttered mournful cries: "Alas, friends, you are subject to impermanence and separation! Such is the nature of separation, Today it has become manifest to us all. The king of swans is about to depart to another place, Like a lotus lake without lotuses, Today we are saddened by the separation from our lord. This is the last time we prostrate to you, It will be very difficult to see your face again in the future." Saying this, they returned, weeping with great displeasure. Even if gathered before, the nature of separation, It is the nature of samsara, it is of no benefit. When will we go to the Isle of Great Blissful Jewel, which is inseparable, To the grove of peace? Then, the king of swans, together with his attendant Bhizhinzang, went to the east. In the garden that shone like the light of a blue jewel, they saw a mountain that was supremely white, as bright as the light of the rising moon, and a white river flowing slowly to the east from its foot. Bhizhinzang asked with respect: "A forest that shines like the neck of a peacock, A supremely white mountain in a delightful place, Competing with clear rivers, What is this beauty?" The king of swans said: "In the beautiful forest full of light, A clear river flows, shining, It is probably the supreme palace of the lord of the world, I think it is the one with the jewel snow mountain." Saying this, they went on. The forest full of light, covered with various kinds of delightful trees, Many cool streams flowed down with the sound of rushing water. The openings of the forest shone with the color of sapphire, and the ponds covered with nets of utpala (Sanskrit, IAST: utpala, literal meaning: utpala), were filled with various kinds of flowers, and many animals and deer roamed in them, and bees buzzed. Bhizhinzang said: "A peaceful forest, waterfalls flowing, secluded and delightful, It is a garden for those who practice meditation. Caves, rocks, cool streams and ponds are full, Flowers bloom, fruits abound, medicinal trees flourish. The streams make sweet rushing sounds, Many delightful birds live freely in it. Those with six feet sing sweet songs, At the time
