And so on. Explaining great benefits. The first part is divided into two: the essence and the definition. The first part is also divided into two: The root vows are that the unsurpassed Three Jewels of the ground, path, and fruition are not abandoned, this is the first. The gurus related to Dharma and vows, especially the secret mantra Vajra gurus, should be respected, this is the second. Among them, empowerment, explanation of tantras, instructions, and teachings are complete with all three, there is no guru more excellent than this. Any two of empowerment etc. are complete with two, which is intermediate. Any one is complete with one, which is slightly less excellent. The order of respect should also be practiced in this way. For those with one or two aspects, the three of empowerment, explanation, and pith instructions, the latter is more excellent than the former. In empowerment also, the higher the order, the more excellent, and the guru should also be understood in the same way. The deities who have entered the mandala, without confusing their causes, reciting the root mantra etc. through the five branches, and continuously holding the mudras of each deity through the four ways of the great mudra etc. with the vow Dharma, with the order of time and diligence, this is the third. To have loving-kindness for beings who have truly entered the Great Vehicle, this is the fourth. Not to speak of the hidden and secret views and practices, the secret meanings, to those who are not suitable outer vessels, this is the fifth. These meanings are the five root vows. The first three are the vows to accomplish, and the latter two are the essence of the vows to protect against violating them. Second, the branch vows are also divided into two: The five vows not to abandon are, not to discriminate in the place of ignorance, great bliss of desire, great clarity of hatred, great pride of arrogance, great wrath of jealousy, these are the nature of the ground being originally pure, transforming into the path through means, and the fruition manifesting as body and wisdom, therefore they should never be abandoned. The five vows to accept are, white bodhicitta, red red lotus, great fragrance of urine and feces, essence of the five great meats. Some consider it dirty, corresponding to that

Knowing what to abandon is that which delights in the sacred substances and is a solitary vessel, so it should not be abandoned. Some say that the vessel and its contents, which are pure from the beginning, should not be abandoned. Others say that the pure sacred substances and their vessel, the skull cup, should not be abandoned, which seems to be ignorant, but it will be known by reading that scripture. These are the root friends or have become the means, so they are the ten vows of the limbs, and if used arbitrarily, they will become like ordinary people. Understanding the meaning of the three pure from the beginning and the four equal ones, one should know the nature and practice it in a way that is grasped by one's own means. Secondly, there are two types of definitions. The root definition is the five vows to protect and accomplish, which are the root vows to accomplish the secret mantra. If the root of the tree is protected, the siddhi will be achieved, and if it is lost, the lineage of the Mahayana, that is, there will be no share of manifest enlightenment. That is only said for the sake of temporarily prolonging it, but it does not mean that there is no lineage or share forever, but for the sake of creating the seed of liberation. And because there is no possibility of cutting off the lineage. Lineage is the vehicle of characteristics, which is considered to be the way of the seed of the Dharma realm, which is good from the beginning, as stated in the Heart Sutra. The realm of beginningless time. It is the abode of all dharmas. Because of this, all beings. Will attain Nirvana. So it is said. There are two ways of existence: the nature of Dharma and the characteristics of Dharma. That is also according to the Uttaratantra. Like a treasure and a fruit tree. Know that there are two kinds of lineages. The beginningless nature abides and. Truly taking is the supreme. So it is said. The first is the nature of mind, the alaya of meaning, which is pure and luminous by nature from the beginning, as stated in the Uttaratantra. Like a precious treasure contained in the mind. The nature of Dharma that is immaculate and non-established. So it is said. The Dharma characteristic is on the alaya of meaning, like the seed of a tree, it has the signs and examples of the Buddha, the light and so on, the things that can arise, the very subtle nature, which has existed from the beginning, and the form body arises from practice.
