At the time of attaining Buddhahood without interruption, for the ordinary beings of the six realms such as gods, in order to purify the sins in their continuums, he manifests as the able ones such as Indra, and teaches the Dharma of purifying the obscurations of gods and humans, etc. The way it appears to the Shravakas is that it appears as the form of a Shramana. For the beings to be tamed who are of the Shravaka lineage, he manifests as the form of a Shravaka Arhat and leads them to realize the meaning of the Four Noble Truths. In the Sutra Requested by the King of Complete Emanation, it says: "For those who are to be tamed by the Shravakas, he abides in the form of a Shravaka and teaches the Dharma." The way it appears to the Pratyekabuddhas is that he tames with the form of a Pratyekabuddha. For those of the Pratyekabuddha vehicle, he teaches the Dharma of dependent origination with symbols, like a rhinoceros. In that very text, it says: "For those who are to be tamed by the form of a Pratyekabuddha, he abides in the form of a Pratyekabuddha and accurately teaches the Dharma that possesses dependent origination with symbols." The way it appears to the Mahayana is that there are other ways than those mentioned above, like the order of the superior faculties of the Mahayana. The way it appears to the Ten Bhumi Bodhisattvas individually is: In the supreme place above the Great自在天 (Tibetan: དབང་ཕྱུག་ཆེན་པོ།, Sanskrit: Maheśvara, English: Great Powerful One) of perfect abode, which is superior to the Form Realm. The Teacher himself abides in the form of Vairochana. The retinue is the retinue of the Ten Bhumi Bodhisattvas, and the Dharma is the perfect Mahayana Dharma. The time is perfect, teaching the time of equality without change. Furthermore, the Dharma of the Nirmanakaya that previously appeared to different beings seemed to be expressed in words. Similarly, the Sambhogakaya Buddha himself does not speak the Dharma in words. Rather, by the nature of the form itself, he shows the Mahayana Dharma to be realized by the wisdom of the retinue. The third is the way beings are liberated from that, which is twofold: one is the purification of the obscurations of the causal path, and the other is the process of obtaining the resultant body and the supreme Bhumi. The first is divided into two: for example, when a mirror is shown to the face, the appearance of one's own face appears.

Just as seeing dirt with the naked eye, like washing away and removing all the unsightly colors stained by actual dirt, the meaning is that the retinue of the ten bhumi bodhisattvas manifests in that way, when looking at the body of the sambhogakaya, the obscurations of bodhi, including large, medium, small, and subtle dirt, are immeasurable and unfathomable, just as the dirt in a mirror appears, it appears on the body of the sambhogakaya. Then, those bodhisattvas strive to purify the dirt of that bhumi. That is, the stinginess of the first bhumi, the broken discipline of the second bhumi, the anger of the third bhumi, the laziness of the fourth bhumi, the distraction of the fifth bhumi, the broken wisdom of the sixth bhumi, the unskillfulness of means of the seventh bhumi, the obscuration of power due to the non-accomplishment of the benefit of sentient beings of the eighth bhumi, the non-accomplishment of wishes of the ninth bhumi, and the subtle seeds of ignorance of the tenth bhumi, are purified by the ten perfections and the complete purification of the bhumis. The dirt of the ten bhumis is gradually purified, and one attains unsurpassed perfect bodhi. At the end of the stream of the ten bhumis, the great light empowerment is performed. As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: After obtaining the final meditation, the great light empowerment is bestowed. Therefore, when the bodhisattva makes offerings to all the Buddhas, great light emanates from the space between the eyebrows of the Tathagatas of the ten directions and dissolves into the crown of that bodhisattva, thereby obtaining vajra-like samadhi and thus becoming a Buddha. Secondly, there are three: In the spontaneously formed dense adornment, the way of accomplishing the body and wisdom is generally shown. On this, the way of accomplishing the bhumis is explained separately. The meaning is summarized in the way the five bodies are naturally accomplished. First, there are two. The way to obtain the three bodies without separation is: The svabhavikakaya, the nature of the inseparability of space and wisdom, is the very nature that cannot be measured by thought and cannot be expressed by words. From that state, the sambhogakaya abides as constantly and naturally accomplished, like an inexhaustible wish-fulfilling jewel treasure. From that state, for the benefit of those to be tamed, countless nirmanakayas.
