There are two types of answers. When combined with certainty, it is appropriate to call it "Illusion Resting," because although these illusory thoughts in samsara have no essence, the appearance of phenomena is uninterrupted. Just as illusory guests rest on the path, the illusion of the mind itself, which appears without being, must appear to rest in the realm of true nature, because merely appearing is enough to be liberated from the suffering of samsara and transcend it. That is also the liberation of practicing in the realm of true illusion, appearing but without inherent existence, after knowing that samsara is the essence of illusion. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "These three realms are illusion, like a mirage of water, reversed by seeing them as mistaken." As it is said. For the basis of summarizing, it is appropriate to call it "Illusion Resting," because it is the essence of true illusion, the special basis for the resting place of wrong conceptual illusions. That is, the very nature of mind, which is naturally pure and luminous, is true illusion, and its nature is in the state of being free from self and other elaborations. Wrong conceptual illusions, illusory appearances, together with illusory thoughts, rest in the vastness of being without support or foundation. As it is said in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "In the two ways of true illusion, there is no self and no belonging to self, no other. The continuum of self, other, and thoughts, is merely inverted thought, there is nothing subtle or profound." So it is said. Its function is that all phenomena appear as the nature of illusion, and the appearance of resting and fatigue is uninterrupted, and I believe that it has never come from the time of appearance. As it is said in the Arya Samadhiraja Sutra: "Just as in the midst of many people, illusionists conjure forms, horses and elephants and various chariots, these are untrue, various appearances, know all phenomena to be like that." And "If the form that has become illusion, is not born, does not come, does not go, likewise all phenomena, are not born, do not come, do not go." Secondly, to determine with the four limbs of necessity and connection, there are three: Generally, the four limbs of necessity and connection that exist only in speech are given as examples. The four limbs of necessity and connection that exist in speech are said to be the cause of entering the treatise. The four limbs of necessity and connection that exist in the body of the treatise are the basis and path.

This is the determination of the meaning of the fruit. First, in general, for the speech of an enlightened person, it is possible to fully possess the four necessary connections. For example, the statement 'take the water pot and fetch water,' its object of expression is water. The necessity is that by relying on that statement, water is obtained at home. The ultimate necessity is that by using the water to quench thirst and so on, the purpose of the person is accomplished. These three, if one does not exist, the other will not arise; if one exists, the other will arise; this mutual connection is the connection. Second, the necessary connections that the treatise itself possesses, this is the object of expression here. By relying on it, realizing that the treatise fully possesses the four dharmas, this is the necessity of establishing the words of necessary connection. By relying on it, an enlightened person enters this treatise, this is the ultimate necessity. These three, if one is not connected to the other, it will not arise; if it exists, it will arise; this is established as the connection. Third, clearly explaining the state of the ground, path, and fruit, through the order of the words and meanings of the three sections of rest, completely and without error showing the way to liberation for one person, this is the object of expression. Existing in this way, the person realizes it, this is the necessity. Practicing as realized, thereby accomplishing the two purposes of temporary and ultimate, this is the ultimate necessity. These three, if one is connected to the other, it arises; if there is no connection, it does not arise; this is the connection. These are also stated in the Extensive Commentary on the Vinaya: 'Therefore, in order to dispel the doubt that there is nothing to be said in the Vinaya Sutra, the object of expression is declared. In order to avert the doubt that there is no fruit, the necessity is declared. In order to abandon the doubt that there is no means, the connection is explained. In order to accomplish the desired meaning, the necessity of the necessity is also shown.' Just as it is extensively stated. The second general meaning is to extensively explain the actual meaning of the treatise to be explained, which has three aspects: extensively explaining the Great Perfection Mind at Rest and its commentary, which shows all dharmas as one path; extensively explaining the Great Perfection Contemplation at Rest and its commentary, which shows all dharmas as spontaneously accomplished clear light; extensively explaining the Great Perfection Illusion at Rest and its commentary, which shows all dharmas as unreal self-appearance. The first part has three aspects: stating the cause of entering the explanation of the commentary; the object of entry, the body.
