Among translation, explanation, and what is clearly named, translation refers to translating languages such as Mahāsandhi from the language of India, which possesses four major languages, into Tibetan. Mahā means great, Sandhi means complete, Dhyāna means meditation, and Śuddha means rest in meaning and purity in sound. It inherently encompasses the three meanings of state, rest, and dharmatā. Here, it is translated as rest, because state and dharmatā themselves are special rest, as exhaustion in saṃsāra is rested through meditating on this meaning, which is exhaling. Vṛtti is commentary, Viśuddha is completely pure, Kāthī is tree, Ghoṛta is horse, and Nāma is name. Explanation refers to the completeness of all dharmas. Where is it complete? It is inwardly complete in the great self-born wisdom, therefore, other than the primordial purity of self-awareness, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are not established. It is outwardly complete because all dharmas arise from the root of awareness. Outward and inward completeness are complete within the space of a single bindu. Completeness is established as the greatness of awareness because it is the space of other dharmas. In the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra, it says: In the vast expanse of the mind's realm, there is not a single thing that does not abide. Meditation refers to abiding in the natural radiance of the state, without straying from the non-conceptual, one-pointed wisdom. As it is said in the Buddha's Only Son Tantra: With a relaxed mind, meditation is naturally attained. Rest refers to the meaning of the breath dissolving into the great exhaustion of dharmas in the natural state, without the coming and going of guest-like conceptual thoughts, when merged with the nature of dharmatā. It is like a tired guest resting in a dwelling after unloading their burden. Commentary refers to clearly showing the meaning of the root text, showing it in detail, and making it understandable, as before. Chariot refers to a vehicle that leads guests to their desired destination, like a wheel with eyes, it is a vehicle that leads beings with excellent fortune to the city of great liberation. In the Compendium, it says: Whoever rides this, can avert the suffering of all sentient beings. As it is said. Completely pure refers to being without the fault of defects, and dharmatā showing all dharmas as pure in the bodhicitta, and because it is the supreme path of pure, equal, great perfection, it is completely pure.
