Homage! Herein lies the "Ocean of Eloquence: A General Explanation of the Three Sets of Resting." Oṃ svasti siddhaṃ! Adorned with a multitude of excellent qualities, the nature of benefit and happiness pervades all beings. To the Dharma of the Sugatas and the Sangha of the Noble Ones, I prostrate at all times and in all places, both myself and others. For travelers weary of the path of existence, possessing the essence of pain-relieving peace and happiness, I will elaborate on the means of explanation, the branches for initially entering the precious Dharma, the three sets of resting. Thus, gathering into one place the order of how an individual should practice the heart essence of all the vast teachings of the Sugatas, this treatise on the great vehicle's instructions, called "The Three Sets of Resting," will be extensively explained in two parts: the general meaning of entering the explanation of the text, and the extensive explanation of the actual meaning of the text to be explained. The first has two parts: a general explanation of how the Dharma arose, and a specific explanation of the meaning at hand. The first has three parts: the vehicle of causality, the vehicle of result, mantra, and the manner of explaining and listening to them. The first, the general manner in which the vehicle of causality arose, has three aspects: first, how the Buddhas appeared; second, how the teachings were compiled; and third, how the treatises were composed. The first also has two aspects, the greater and lesser vehicles. According to the Hearers, our teacher generated the mind of enlightenment in the presence of the great Buddha Shakyamuni countless eons ago. On that very basis of the path of accumulation, at the end of perfecting the two accumulations, he descended from Tushita to Jambudvipa, manifested the five paths, attained enlightenment, turned the wheel of Dharma three times, passed away at the age of eighty, and now resides in the realm of complete absence. Moreover, from generating the mind of enlightenment to being absorbed on the Vajra Throne, an individual with sharp faculties and perfect diligence attains enlightenment at the end of manifesting the samadhi of the fourth dhyana. As for being an ordinary person, the Treasury states: "Even if not noble, parents, the sick, and Dharma speakers, and the last bodhisattva, the merit is said to be immeasurable." Thus, manifesting the five paths on a single seat,

Also the deeds. From that very text: "Enlightenment under the acacia and the bse tree. All the limits of meditation are in one." Thus it is. According to some Mahayanists, before the three countless aeons, when the Buddhas Shakyamuni, Great Jewel Arm, and Jewel Crest appeared in succession, they generated the mind of enlightenment. In the first countless aeon, the two accumulations included in the path of accumulation and the path of joining, gathered by the ground of ordinary beings, and the two accumulations. From the first to the seventh ground is the second countless aeon. The three pure grounds are the final countless aeon, that is, at the end of the two accumulations gathered by the noble path of learning, one becomes enlightened in Akanishta and shows the twelve deeds through emanation to accomplish the purpose. That is what they think. Regarding enlightenment in Akanishta, the Sutra of Manifest Enlightenment of Dharma and Enjoyment says: "Adorned with various jewels, In the delightful abode of Akanishta, Residing above the pure abodes, The truly enlightened one becomes enlightened there. An emanation being attains enlightenment here." Thus it is. Some believe that having become enlightened countless inconceivable aeons ago, they again generate the mind of enlightenment for the sake of taming beings, accumulate accumulations, and show the manner of the twelve deeds. In the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son, it says: "In the past, immeasurable aeons ago, in that world where the realms of the Ganges River sands became one, the Tathagata named Lord Crest became enlightened and accomplished the purpose." From there it says: "Great hero, skillful in means, For the sake of fully ripening all sentient beings, Hundreds of thousands of millions of victors, Although they have shown enlightenment, Still you are the guide, Showing many Buddhas." Thus it is said. These two systems exist in a common and uncommon way, and in terms of definitive meaning, it is according to the latter. In the White Lotus Sutra it also says: "Son of good family, I have manifested complete enlightenment many hundreds of thousands of millions of aeons ago." And it says: "Thousands of millions of aeons are inconceivable, Its measure is never non-existent, I have attained this supreme enlightenment, I will always explain the Dharma." And so on. Therefore, here, the way of becoming enlightened through the twelve deeds is, The Tantra.
