The spontaneously accomplished general principle shows mind-essence as the general principle of all vehicles. The sky's edge-center continuum shows mind-essence as without limitation or partiality. Among the explanatory continuums are the Precious Secret Continuum That Uproots Samsara, the All-Creating King of Bodhichitta, the Greatly Arrayed Ati Completely Perfected Continuum, and so on. The general and specific continuum sections abide like the sky. The third general meaning is the manner of explaining and listening to those, which has three aspects: contemplating the manner of explaining, the manner of how to explain and listen, and showing the benefits of explaining and listening. The first of these also has three aspects: the manner in which the Buddhas speak the Dharma, the manner in which the Arhats speak the Dharma, and the manner in which the Panditas speak the Dharma. First, the Buddhas turn the wheel of Dharma by relying on the three miracles: the miracle of magical power, radiating light and rising into the sky as high as seven tala trees, and so on, showing immeasurable miracles of body, making disciples faithful and desirous. Then, the miracle of complete expression, seeing and knowing all the faculties, thoughts, and predispositions of the disciples, thinking to teach the Dharma that is in accordance with that, blessing the continuum of the retinue, which is the miracle of mind, arranging the continuum to be pure and workable. Afterwards, the miracle of subsequent teaching, raining down the rain of Dharma according to the wishes of the disciples, thereby placing beings in the state of manifest highness and definite goodness. This is said to be the most excellent of all miracles. As it says in the Treasury: "Teaching is supreme among miracles," "Because it is unerring and in accordance, and because it leads to a pleasing result." The reason for the three miracles is that magic makes disciples faithful, because the unfaithful are not vessels of the Dharma. Also, in the Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life it says: "Do not teach the Dharma to the disrespectful, or to those with their heads covered, or with umbrellas, staffs, or weapons in their hands, or to those with their heads wrapped." By complete expression, knowing the mind to be workable and the continuums to be separate, then by subsequent teaching, teaching according to their wishes and fortune. If it is not like that, then that Dharma will not benefit the disciples, like mixing disease and medicine, it will turn into poison. Also, the Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life

As it is said: A vast vessel of Dharma should not be mixed with inferior Dharma. Also, as stated in the Sutra of Dense Array, the emptiness practiced by yogis should not be combined with what is not a vessel. If it is combined with what is not a vessel, it is like nectar turning into poison. Thus it is. The way an Arhat teaches the Dharma is based on the three purities: the purity of the listener's vessel, the purity of the speaker's words, and the purity of the meaning of the scriptures. The teacher, through clairvoyance, knows whether or not someone is a vessel for the Dharma. Those who are vessels are made the object of taming. Pure speech is pleasing to the ear, and the words are without impurity, connecting in this way. Pure Dharma meaning is without error or confusion, showing various terms such as those that lead to liberation, thus fulfilling the meaning. If one does not teach based on the three kinds of miracles, what is the reason? It is because the Shravakas have four causes of unknowing, and therefore cannot teach. The four causes are: not knowing due to the remoteness of the place, such as not knowing because the place is too far away, like Maudgalyayana not knowing where his mother was born. Not knowing due to the remoteness of time, such as not knowing when something happened because the time is too far in the past, like Shariputra not knowing the seed of liberation of the householder Shri. Not knowing due to the remoteness of characteristics, such as how the fruit of an endless cause is, and how the cause of an endless fruit is, and so on. As the Sutra says: The peacock's plumage is unique, but the differences in causes are various. Knowing this is omniscience; it cannot be known without omniscient knowledge. Not knowing the many teachings of the Buddha, such as the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, etc., because one has not attained the Dharma of great Bodhi. Therefore, one does not have the power to see the aspects of the Dharma of all the doors, such as the essence of the Sugata realm. As the commentary on the Uttaratantra says: In short, these four types of individuals are established as not having the eyes to see the Tathagatagarbha. What are the four? They are ordinary beings, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas newly entering the Mahayana. There are two ways in which a Pandit teaches the Dharma, one being the glorious Nalanda.
