It is just like ordinary people striving in activities such as commerce and agriculture. Mantras can actually increase wealth through methods of practice such as water offerings and eliminating obstacles, therefore they are more excellent. They are also excellent because they are without difficulty, because compared to the path of characteristics that requires enduring hardship of abandoning and accepting, mantras, with their special methods, transform everything into assistance, not abandoning the merits of desire, but rather using them as adornments, therefore they are more excellent. They are also excellent because they are the path for those with sharp faculties, because they are the ultimate of sacred instructions where little effort yields great results. As it is said in the Lamp for the Three Disciplines: "Though the meaning is one, there is no confusion, the methods are many and without hardship, relying on those with sharp faculties, the vehicle of mantra is especially superior." Second, from the perspective of establishing results, there are three points. From the perspective of the speed of time, it is established as the Vehicle of Results, for example, when cutting a tree with a sharp and a dull weapon, the dull one will be said to "not be able to cut it," and the sharp one will be said to "be able to cut it, it is enough." The Bodhi that cannot be obtained in a long time by the Vehicle of Characteristics, can be obtained in sixteen lifetimes or one lifetime by mantra, therefore, from the perspective of the length of time, it is also called the Vehicle of Results. As it is said in the Samputa: "The Buddhahood that is difficult to achieve in countless billions of eons, is given in this very life, therefore, it is called the Vehicle of Results." Among them, those with supreme diligence can achieve it in one lifetime. As it is said in the Buddha Samyoga: "In countless billions of eons, one does not see the actual face of all the Buddhas, with the ritual of secret mantra in this life, one will achieve it in this very life." Those with medium diligence are said to be liberated immediately after the separation of body and mind or in the bardo. As it is said in the Four Seats of Vajrasana: "From the top of the nine apertures, immediately transferring consciousness with the mind, even killing Brahmins daily, committing the five inexpiable sins, enjoying the wealth of thieves and robbers, one will be liberated by this path, and will not be stained by sin." And as it is said in the Manjushri Face Instructions: "This physical aggregate, this very body, even if it is not achieved in this life, the mind will be achieved as the Vajra body, and one will achieve true accomplishment in the bardo." And as it is said in the Wisdom Thigle: "Or immediately upon abandoning this body, the body of supreme wisdom, even without diligence, one will achieve it. The power of diligence

What need is there to mention the power of merit! Thus it is said. The dullest of faculties are liberated in the next life. The "Nomenclature Praise" says, "The lord who can walk as soon as he is born." And the "Buddha Top Knot Tantra" says, "Therefore, the wise yogi, with a very diligent mind, even if he does not attain accomplishment in this life, will attain accomplishment in the intermediate state of another life." Thus it is said. The lowest of the dull are liberated in seven lifetimes. The "Secret Treasury" says, "If the empowerment is given correctly and with generosity, empowerment will occur in life after life. In his seven lifetimes, even without meditation, it will be accomplished." Thus it is said. Even the lowest of the dull are liberated in sixteen lifetimes. The "Vajra Peak" says, "With the Paramita Vehicle, countless eons cannot be attained. If that yogi is diligent, he will enter Nirvana in this very life, or just by seeing, he will enter Nirvana in sixteen lifetimes. Each individual being will attain Buddhahood, and there is no other way." Thus it is said. By means of the supreme method, it can also be established as the result. For example, to accomplish one thing, one person cannot accomplish it with seven days of diligence, but one person can accomplish it in one day with magical power. Thus, with characteristics, it takes years and months of diligence to accomplish only the calm abiding and insight, but with mantra, hitting the vital points of the channels and winds, it can be accomplished in an instant, etc. Therefore, because the result is great, it is established as the result. As the "Lotus Peak" says, "Extremely difficult and cannot be accomplished, because of the moment of perfect union, without looking at the past cause, the result is produced from the vital point, therefore it is called the Result Vehicle." Thus it is said. By making the similar to the result as the path, it is also established as the Result Vehicle. Like the two form bodies of the result at the time of the Buddha, looking at the wheel of means of generation, having the nature of the deity, the wheel of speech mantra, and like the Dharmakaya, taking the wheel of inconceivable wisdom of the complete stage of wisdom as the path, because the similar to the result is taken as the path, it is said so. As the former said, "Because the similar is taken as the path, it is also truly declared as the Result Vehicle." Thus it is said. Third, the classification method of the four classes of tantras, among the five certainties, is also explained as four with regard to the four types of people, that is, in order to subdue the pure Brahmins.
