It is a dwelling. The petitioner is the venerable Name. The Dharma to be compiled is the Tripitaka. After the Buddha's passing, disputes arose over the distribution among the Sangha, leading to a compilation that split into the four fundamental schools. The patron is Dharma Ashoka, the Dharma King Ashoka. The necessity is as before, but especially to enable disciples who prefer other languages to realize with less effort. To be excluded are the ten non-Dharma roots that the Bhikshu Mahadeva in Vaishali at that time considered as Dharma and agreed upon. Namely: the nature of Hulu Hulu; utensils and salt; the road and two fingers; stirring and cushions; it is permissible to do to gold. These are considered the ten roots of permissible or not. That is, acting without assembly, and thinking that saying "Hulu Hulu" is permissible; after doing an illegal act, rejoicing and changing one's mind and thinking it is Dharma; if one drinks alcohol like a lotus worm sucking, there is no fault; if there is no actual prohibition, it is permissible to dig the ground, because it does not harm sentient beings; because it is mixed with the appropriate time, salt can be used in the afternoon, no need for clean water; the road does not need half a yojana, even if you go half a krosha, it is considered an assembly, there is no fault of eating or drinking; two fingers means that it is enough to take the remaining food with two fingers; mixing the appropriate time and the inappropriate time, it can also be drunk in the afternoon, because when the two are mixed, the appropriate time will be blessed; for the old cushion, the Tathagata's cubit is not needed, it is enough to mend it with one's own cubit; allowing those who have not received full ordination to enter the gap in K'iu Village, and letting them beg for gold from lay people, and letting them put it on it, so that the gold becomes legal, there is no fault. These should be excluded. The main compiler is the Arhat Nera Gupta. There are nine in the three compilations. The time is three hundred years after the Buddha's Nirvana. The assembly consisted of five hundred Arhats. And six thousand ordinary monks.

The location is the monastery in Kashmir (Kashimir) adorned with stacked flowers. The petitioner and benefactor is King Kanishka. The Dharma to be collected is the Three Baskets and the eighteen divisions, to be collected in agreement on the Dharma. That is, in the wheel of reading differently in each school, it says: The teaching of Shakya Lion will transform into eighteen different forms, due to the power of the past deeds of that supreme being of beings. As it is said. At that time, the evil demon transformed into a monk and created discord, causing everything to become chaotic, and each divided the places of the Sutras and the lineages, and because of the inconsistency of views and rituals, they accused each other, saying: According to our view it is right, according to your view it is wrong. Then, those schools that initially branched out from where, were gathered into that school, and they argued whether it was in accordance with the Buddha's Dharma and teachings. The internal root schools are four, from which eighteen schools are known to have branched out. From the Sarvastivada school, the following are divided: Sarvastivada, Kashyapiya, Dharmaguptaka, Sautrantika, Bhumiputra, Kasyapiya, and Samkrantika, these seven schools. These are the lineages of King Jati Grahadhipati Bhadra, who was predicted by the Bhagavan to be the most respectful of the teachings. The language is Sanskrit, which is in accordance with the language of the gods. The fragments of the monastic robe are from nine up to twenty-five, except for pairs. The symbols are utpala (青莲花), padma (莲花), ratna (珍宝), and the emergence of tree leaves. From the Mahasamghika school, the following are divided: the Eastern Mountain School, the Western Mountain School, the Snow Mountain School, the Prajnaptivada School, and the Lokottaravada School, these five schools. These are the lineages of the great elder Kashyapa, who was ordained from the Brahmin caste, tamed by the Bhagavan, and predicted to be the best with the qualities. The language is Prakrit, which speaks in accordance with the gods of clear light. The fragments of the monastic robe are from nine up to twenty-three, except for pairs. The symbols are the svastika (吉祥) and the auspicious conch. From the Sthavira school, the following are divided: the school residing in Jetavana, the school residing in Abhayagiri, and the school residing in the monastery, these three schools. These say

The lineage of the venerable Mahā-Kātyāyana, who renounced from the caste of the staff-bearers, and whom the Blessed One prophesied as the foremost in taming the border regions. The language is Apabhraṃśa, similar to that of the degraded flesh-eaters. The robes are nine or more, but less than twenty-one, except for pairs. The sign is the conch shell. Differentiated from the veneration of the many, there are three divisions: the Earth-Growth faction, the Guardian faction, and the Sthavira faction. These are the lineages of the venerable Upāli, who renounced from the caste of the cutters, and whom the Blessed One prophesied as the foremost among those who uphold the Vinaya. The language is Piśāca, similar to that of ordinary pure-abode gods. The robes are similar to those of the Sthaviras. The sign is the conch shell. If you wish to understand in detail the views and tenets of these, you should understand them in the treatise I have written, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury. The necessity is the internal harmony of the teachings and the necessity for them to endure for a long time. What should be eliminated are those who believe that the eighteen divisions are not Dharma. The main figures of the compilers are the bodhisattva Sumitra, the last of existence, and the great arhat Pūrṇika. Thirdly, how the treatises are composed, divided into the characteristics of the teacher, the nature of the treatise, and how it is composed. The first is further divided into the best being the direct realization of the truth of the nature of reality, the middle being the vision of the tutelary deity and the attainment of permission, and the lowest being the knowledge of the five sciences. The five sciences are: grammar, logic, crafts, medicine, and the reality of inner knowledge. The nature of the treatise is that the author possesses characteristics, therefore it is composed as an explanation of the Buddha's words, and it shows the path to liberation, therefore it possesses the qualities of taming and protecting. As the Lord Maitreya said: "Taming all the enemies of afflictions, protecting from the suffering of bad rebirths, taming and protecting are the qualities, these two are not found in other traditions." Thus it is said. The way of composing is that when the Buddha was alive, seven arhats composed the seven treatises of the Abhidharma, and at the time of the second council, the arhat Nyersub composed the Great Commentary Treasury, and the Buddha
