Having characteristics of distinction, by adventitious empty realms, having characteristics of non-distinction, not empty of the supreme Dharma. Thus it is said. The ground is empty, clear, spontaneously accomplished, great perfection. From that very nature arises the city of ignorance and mind. From grasping and clinging arise the six realms, the city of Gandharvas. Appearing without a basis, various forms arise. Possessing that which is born from the mind of habitual delusion. The wisdom of the expanse is like the sky. Possessing co-emergent ignorance equally. The power stirs into grasping and clinging. From the ground appearance, the appearances of the six realms are separately deluded. It is the appearance of beginningless habitual patterns, appearing as if non-existent, like a city of Gandharvas. From the Secret Essence: Emaho, from the Sugata-garbha, emanates from the power of one's own conceptual thoughts. Thus it is said. How that which appears is shown to be without essence: If one realizes this, the mind itself is in its primordial state. When not realized, it is the mind that is now deluded. Like a city of Gandharvas, without any identifiable aspect. What other example is there besides itself? At the time when appearance dawns in the face of awareness, if not realized, the deluded appearance seems real. Like the appearance of a city of Gandharvas in the state of the sky. In the state of awareness, it abides without basis, essence, or foundation, merely as a clear appearance of non-existence. If realized, it is merely an appearance of emptiness and form, because it is without essence. In the Sutra it says: "All conditioned things are like a city of Gandharvas." Thus it is said. Since samsara is empty from the beginning, it is repeated that there is nothing to abandon: However, all of this is without inherent existence. Like a city of Gandharvas on a plain at sunset. Both the support and the supported are deluded minds. It is habit, and if realized, it is without essence. If left in its natural state, it is naturally liberated as it is. Therefore, there is no fear or difficulty in abandoning even the heart. One should know that the city of existence is primordially empty and pure. Like seeing a city of Gandharvas filled with beings on a plain at sunset, from the moment of seeing, neither the city nor the beings are established. Likewise, the beings that appear dependent on that vessel are without inherent existence from the moment of appearance. Since it is not actually established from the deluded appearance of the mind, when the mind is liberated because it is without inherent existence, because the deluded appearance is empty of inherent existence, there is no need to deliberately abandon it, and thus it is left in the great equality of effortless spontaneity. The Sutra of the Ornament of the Appearance of Wisdom.

. Thus, the city of illusions (Tibetan: dri zai grong khyer) does not exist in appearance. Similarly, all dharmas do not exist in appearance. Showing the great absence of grasping objects: All appearances of objects are the true emptiness of the city of illusions, All minds are the naturally empty city of illusions, The dual appearance of object and mind is like the city of illusions, Do not hold on to any clinging, leave it in its own place. All external appearances of objects are empty without foundation, All internal grasping thoughts are self-liberated emptiness, All objects and minds are in the natural flow of emptiness, To affirm or deny and cling to them is a mistake, Naturally and spontaneously, maintain a state of openness, As the Doha says: If there is any attachment, let it go, If you realize it, everything is that. Showing attachment as the lock of samsara, it should be known by self-liberation: Those phenomena that appear in nothingness, Do not deliberately grasp them by fabricating them with the mind. Beginningless delusion also arises from clinging, Now know the nature of non-clinging. Appearance has no essence, so it is a mistake to deliberately grasp it as existent. The initial delusion also arises from the spread of clinging. Now, it is very important to practice the natural liberation of clinging. In this way, even if something unpleasant happens, if you do not cling to it, there will be no disputes and sufferings based on it. Everything is in accordance with the scriptures, so the non-clinging is taught like the sky: The noble ones without outflows and all dharmas, Nirvana is completely peaceful and without substance, You, for all dharmas with and without substance, Like the true emptiness of the city of illusions and the sky, Know that they are primordially peaceful and unborn. The nature of dharmas is without outflows, It is the same as nirvana, so the various phenomena of objects and appearances, appearing and empty like the city of illusions, The nature of the insubstantial mind is like the sky, pure and abiding, All dharmas are like the Sugatas. As it is said in the Bodhicaryavatara: When existence and non-existence, Do not remain before the mind, Then there is no other aspect, The absence of focus is completely peaceful. Showing transcendence of good and bad, acceptance and rejection: Desire is not found, so is hatred, Ignorance, pride, and jealousy
