Śīla (Tibetan), guarding the doors of the senses (Tibetan), knowing the measure of food (Tibetan), not sleeping in the upper and lower parts of the night and striving in yoga (Tibetan), abiding with awareness of what should be taken and what should be abandoned, manifest joy (Tibetan), not regretting virtuous deeds (Tibetan), joy (Tibetan), faith (Tibetan), aspiration (Tibetan), etc., other virtuous deeds that become the cause of liberation (Tibetan), and striving in the three, hearing, thinking, and meditating, is the application of the path of application (Tibetan). Moreover, starting from the small accumulation path, accumulating accumulations of three countless eons, etc., is the beginning, as it is said in the *Compendium of Vehicles*: "Those with the power of goodness and aspiration, those with steadfast minds and extraordinary conduct, Bodhisattvas in three countless eons, constantly strive, it is said." Thus, the time of cultivating the four mindfulnesses is uncertain when the path of application arises. The time of cultivating the four right abandonments is certain when the path of application arises in the next life. The time of cultivating the four legs of miraculous power is certain when the path of application arises in this very life. The special antidote of this path is the antidote that refutes by viewing the faults of conditioned phenomena. Abandonment is abandoning when one sees the faults of contaminated dharmas and the share of manifest attachment and manifest realization has become complete. Realization is mostly realizing the two selflessnesses in the manner of general meaning through hearing and thinking, and there is also realization from meditation, as it is said in the *Compendium of Topics*: "Even the wisdom arising from meditation is acceptable." Qualities are clairvoyance and superknowledge, etc., as appropriate, as it is said in the *Ornament of the Sūtras*: "At that time, in the continuum of dharma, from the Buddhas, quiescence and, vast wisdom, for the sake of attainment, vast instructions will be found." And, "For those who abide truly in the door of dharma, the Tathāgata directly teaches, like leading from the grass, from the thicket of faults, leading out and establishing in enlightenment." Thus it is said. When the great accumulation path is attained, there is superknowledge and clairvoyance and miraculous powers as appropriate. The instructions to be meditated upon are also the discipline that focuses on the coming and going of body and speech, and the wisdom of the three, hearing, thinking, and meditating, that focuses on the words and meanings of the scriptures, and the recollection of the Three Jewels, and all conditioned things are impermanent, and all contaminated things are suffering, all dharmas are empty and

Immaculate, the quiescence of Nirvana, which is the four seals of the Dharma, as well as faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and the distinctive wisdom of the five roots, the five factors of liberation that are unborn in nature, as well as ethics, generosity, the leisure of the human body, death, birth, and mindfulness of the in-and-out breaths, should be cultivated. When practicing conduct in accordance with the Dharma, one should cultivate the perception of impurity and the eight thoughts of a great being. These should also be cultivated with the preliminary practice of taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, and with the method of concluding with dedication, one should cultivate the nine types of impurity, that is, on one's own body and the bodies of others, one should cultivate the perceptions of swelling, being eaten by worms, being reddish, being bluish, being blackish, being eaten, being scattered, being burned, and being decayed. Thus, for desire, cultivate the impure; for hatred, cultivate love; and for ignorance, cultivate dependent origination. As stated in the Sutra Requested by Good Arms: "Those with strong desire should contemplate impurity, contemplating flesh, fat, skin, and bones can prevent it; hatred should be sprinkled with the water of love and compassion; and ignorance should be approached with the path of dependent origination." Thus it is. The eight thoughts of a great being, as stated in the commentary on the Twenty Thousand Verses: "When will I be able to eliminate the suffering of sentient beings? When will I be able to place sentient beings afflicted by poverty in great wealth? When will I be able to benefit sentient beings with my body of flesh and blood? When will I be able to benefit sentient beings even by dwelling in hell for a long time? When will I be able to fulfill the wishes of sentient beings with the great wealth of the world and beyond? When will I become a Buddha and surely be able to relieve the suffering of sentient beings? When will I not be born into a life that is of no benefit to sentient beings, and only taste the flavor of ultimate truth, and speak words that do not consider all beings, and live a life that does not benefit others, and possess a body, wisdom, wealth, and power, and delight in harming others, may I never become like this in all my lifetimes. When will I be able to let the fruits of the sins of sentient beings ripen on me, and my virtue
