The method for accomplishing Ra (ར). It is said that one strives in mind through the five practices of Samadhi. The three Samadhis are: the Samadhi of Suchness, the Samadhi of All-Illuminating, and the Samadhi of Cause. The five practices are: generating the deity, reciting mantras, meditating on Samadhi, abiding by vows, and diligently offering torma. These are in general under the power of secret mantra illusion. From the Guhyagarbha Tantra, it is said that there are five root vows, ten branch vows, and four great vows, totaling nineteen. The five root vows are: not abandoning the Three Jewels, honoring the guru, not interrupting mantras and mudras, having compassion for those who have truly entered the Mahayana, and not speaking of secret meanings to others. As it says in that very text: "Do not abandon the unsurpassed, honor the guru, do not interrupt mantras and mudras, have compassion for those who have entered the true path, do not speak of secret meanings to outsiders. These are the five roots." As it is said. Among the ten branch vows, the five vows of not abandoning are: As it says in that very text: "Ignorance, desire, hatred, pride, and jealousy, do not abandon them." As it is said. The five vows of willingly accepting are: As it says in that text: "White essence, red essence, excrement, meat, great, do not discard the pure vessel's essence." As it is said. The great vows are the four, such as killing. In the New Secret Mantra tradition, vows are explained as two types: vows to be protected and vows to be practiced. The first is the fourteen root downfalls and so on, as mentioned in their respective texts. The second is to enjoy the five meats and five elixirs after knowing their nature. The five meats are: elephant meat, beef, dog meat, human meat, and horse meat. The five elixirs are feces and so on. The benefits of eating them are also mentioned in the Glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra: "With the supreme vow of great meat, one accomplishes the supreme three vajras. With the supreme vow of excrement and urine, one becomes the chief of vidyadharas. With the vow of elephant meat, one obtains the five direct perceptions. With the vow of horse meat, one becomes the master of invisibility. With the vow of dog meat, all siddhis are accomplished. With the vow of beef, one becomes the supreme attractor of vajras." As it is said. And again: "Elephant meat and horse meat, should be eaten for the sake of food. If other foods are not eaten, great Bodhisattvas and Buddhas will be displeased."

will become. Thus it is said. Excrement, urine, semen, blood, etc., Should be offered to the deities. Having done so, May the Buddhas and, The great bodhisattvas be pleased. Thus it is said. If those are not available, one should contemplate the form of food and eat it. In that very text it says: Eating meat and such as food, If one thoroughly contemplates the great meat, Then the body, speech, and mind's secret, All siddhis will be accomplished. Thus it is said. Even if all meats are not available, One should contemplate everything with the mind. If this vajra union is performed, The Buddhas will bestow blessings. Thus it is said. These in the world, Practiced as if being criticized, liberate from ordinary attachment, without good or bad, and have qualities such as pleasing the accomplished dakinis. How are those vows protected? Through the gate of mindfulness, awareness, and vigilance, they are protected by shame, embarrassment, fear, and respect. Among these, mindfulness is to not forget the order of the vows, including what is permitted and prohibited, and to keep them in mind, that is, to think about them day and night and to confess and take vows. Awareness is to examine whether the three doors abide in the vows or not. If everything one does contradicts the vows, it should be abandoned; if it does not contradict, it should be accomplished. Vigilance is like being cautious in the face of great enemies and friends. Fear of the lower realms and such arises if the vows are broken, so one should act strictly. Knowing shame is to think that if the vows promised before the guru are broken, there will be no one worse than oneself, and relying on oneself, one should be wary of even the slightest transgression of the root and branch vows. Having embarrassment is to be ashamed before the guru, yidam, dakinis, sentient beings, and to protect oneself, thinking that one will become a subject of criticism, relying on others. Protecting with fear is to think about the faults of breaking the vows and not abandon them even if one's life is at stake. Protecting with respect is to have a desire for great benefits and to protect the vows with respect. The meaning of the word "vow" is Samaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), which has two meanings: if it is kept firmly, it is called a vow because it burns away negativity, and if the body, speech, and mind become the seal of the vow, it is called burning because it is burned by the fire of hell if it is broken. In the Tantra of Differentiating Vows it says: "Sa (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is called arising, Ma (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is called not decaying, It bestows all siddhis."
