Furthermore, son of good family, there is another example like this: For instance, if a woman who is nursing a small infant gets sick, that woman will be afflicted with sorrow and seek a doctor. The doctor mixes medicine, ghee, milk, and rock candy into three parts and feeds it to the infant, and instructs the woman, saying, "After giving this child medicine, it is not permissible to feed yogurt until the medicine has worn off." Then, in order to prevent the woman from breastfeeding, she smears bile on her breasts and says to the child, "Her breasts are smeared with poison, so it is not permissible to suckle." That child, tormented by thirst, desires to suckle the breast, but as soon as it tastes the bitter flavor, it is unable to suckle. After the medicine has worn off, the woman washes her breasts clean and says, "Come here! Now you can suckle the breast." Even though the child is tormented by thirst, because it has tasted the bitter flavor before, it is unable to come even when called. Then the mother again instructs him, saying, "Why don't you come? Before, because you took medicine, it was not permissible to breastfeed until the medicine had worn off, so I smeared bile. Now your medicine has also worn off, and the bitterness has also been washed away, so now there is no bitter flavor." Then, he gradually approaches and is able to suckle. Son of good family, the Tathagata (from here, one page of the manuscript is missing from page 110) possessing, from the time of appearance itself, speaks of emptiness as being empty of the elaborations of grasping at one and many, and as being empty of its own nature, like a reflection in a mirror. But it is not that ultimately there is nothing at all, nor that it does not exist in the beginning and now, but rather that it appears like an illusion. As the Heart Sutra also says, "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. Form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form. Likewise, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are also emptiness." And as the Intermediate Mother Sutra also says, "Each phenomenon, when it exists, is said to be empty of its own nature, but if there is no form, how can there be a view of emptiness with form?" And as the Uttaratantra Shastra also says, "That which possesses all supreme aspects, emptiness is called form." And, "In this, there is nothing to be removed, nor is there anything to be added. In the true nature, view the true nature. Seeing the true nature, one is liberated. Differentiation"
