Ste. "Mind precedes all phenomena." As it says. Because of not knowing the perfectly established nature that does not change its essence, one imputes and creates various impure illusory appearances in the other's dependent consciousness. This is how samsara is like a dream. To reverse this delusion, one must know the perfectly established nature of mind. By practicing the generation and completion stages of skillful means and wisdom in an undeluded order, one manifests the essence of the primordial ground. Therefore, one should understand it in that way. With that, the basis of karma has been explained. Secondly, explaining the dependent karma, there are two parts: explaining the root ignorance and explaining the non-virtuous actions. First, explaining the root ignorance: Now, explaining the karma that depends on it. The basis of the dependent dharma, the root of karma is ignorance. Its essence is the three poisons of desire, hatred, and delusion. From this arises the two black and white karmas that constitute existence. As it is said. Initially, because ignorance does not recognize the self-nature of the clear light mind, it lays the foundation for the delusion of grasping and apprehending. Therefore, all sentient beings are deluded in samsara. As the Compendium says: "Countless inferior, intermediate, and superior sentient beings, all arise from ignorance, as taught by the Sugata." In this way, the inferior are the lower realms, the intermediate are humans, and the superior are gods. They experience various joys and sufferings according to their respective karmas. This is also the root ignorance, the three poisons that correspond to it, the non-virtue and virtue that correspond to it, and all that produces the blissful results of existence that are in harmony with merit. Explaining non-virtuous actions, there are two parts: the basis of classification and the classification. First, explaining the basis of classification: Virtue accomplishes happiness and higher realms, while non-virtue generates suffering and lower realms. Explaining non-virtue: Because of falling from high to low in samsara, there is non-virtue. If classified, there are ten manifestations. The ten non-virtuous actions are body, speech, and mind, three each. They are explained in order as follows: The ten non-virtuous actions that cause one to fall from higher realms to lower realms and generate only suffering are: killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct. These three are non-virtuous actions of the body. Lying, divisive speech, idle chatter, and harsh words. These four are non-virtuous actions of speech. Covetousness, malice, and wrong view. These three are non-virtuous actions of the mind. There are three classifications:

The actions of the body are: "First, explaining the three actions of the body. Killing, knowingly and without error, killing other lives. Similar actions include beating, attacking, and other actions that harm life. Taking what is not given, stealing the property of others. Similar actions include acquiring the property of others through deception. Adultery, engaging in relations with someone else's possession. Similar actions include striving in places where one should not engage in sexual activity." Even if it is a tiny life like a worm or a bee, if one knowingly kills, beats, attacks, etc., these are similar actions. Stealing the property of others, and similar actions, such as slowly causing someone to give, etc. Adultery out of desire refers to: engaging with a spouse possessed by another, or a relative, or a non-genital organ, or striving in an inappropriate place and time. Similar actions include striving with hands, etc., in a place where others should not engage in sexual activity. As it says in the Treasury of Knowledge: "Killing is knowingly, killing another life without error. Taking what is not given is taking another's property, appropriating it by force or stealth. Desiring to engage in a non-sexual act, there are four types of adultery." In the commentary on the Chapter on Distinguishing Actions, it says: What is similar to the thing itself, what is similar to it, what arises similarly later, is similar to it, such as beating with a stick, etc., and similar actions, such as obtaining by serving with respect, etc., and the faculties of the limbs striving on their own, etc. "The actions of speech are: "The four of speech are: lying, false words that change the perception of others. Similar actions include honesty, etc., actions that deceive the minds of others. Divisive speech, speaking words that can separate others. Similar actions include gossiping, repeating the words of others to create discord. Frivolous speech, meaningless discourses and jokes. Similar actions include speaking irrelevant words, etc., unlawful speech. Harsh speech, rebuking others, speaking harsh words. Similar actions include destroying, etc., words that displease others." These are the paths to entering the door of speech, so they are called the actions of speech. Speaking untrue words that change the perception of others is lying. If one speaks honest words, but sees that they can deceive others and speaks them, that is an action similar to lying. Speaking words that can separate others is divisive speech. As it is said, speaking the words of one person in front of another is similar to divisive speech.
