The suffering of being cut by a sharp blade is immeasurable. For details, please refer to the Sutra of Entering the Womb. These points are stated in the 'Admonition to Learning': 'Utterly unbearable, blocked by foul-smelling impurities, dwelling in a dense darkness of extreme narrowness, like residing in a hellish womb, the body is cramped, and one must endure great suffering. Like gradually squeezing hard sesame seeds with an oil press, after being squeezed, one does not know when one will be born. However, in that short time, one does not give up life, because one has become accustomed to the height of suffering. Abiding in impurity, the body that moves, is wrapped in the moisture of the womb, filled with unbearable foul odors. Suffering spreads, like a wound maturing and breaking open, like wanting to vomit, one abandons previous memories.' 'Third is the suffering of aging.' Then gradually, the suffering of aging is extremely difficult to bear, youth fades, and one is no longer liked by anyone. Unable to support oneself above or below, one must rely on a cane, the body's warmth decreases, and food is difficult to digest. Physical strength declines, making it difficult to walk, sit, move, or stir. One cannot go where one wants, and the joints become deformed. The senses dull, the eyes blur, and one cannot see. One cannot hear sounds, smell odors, or taste flavors. Memory becomes unclear, and one is immersed in dull sleep. The ability to enjoy worldly pleasures diminishes, and merit decreases. Even delicious foods and the like appear different from what they were. Life diminishes, one fears death, and consciousness becomes confused. Like a child, one has little patience and cannot endure. Like the red flame of an oil lamp, one quickly fades away.' That is to say, youth also passes, the body's strength declines, and the joints become deformed. Food is not digested, and the senses dull, so the eyes cannot see clearly, the ears are deaf, the tongue is numb, and memory is unclear. The objects and foods that one used to enjoy are no longer as pleasing as before. Because the function of the tongue declines, one cannot taste the flavors of food and drink as one did in youth. One fears death and trembles, and like a child, one has little patience, and so on, there are countless sufferings. The 'Admonition to Learning' says: 'Then, the aging hand of the Lord of Death, seizes him without any way to remedy the crushing. White hair grows, and the teeth fall out, as if laughing, seizing him from the whole. Then, his joints separate

I. Wisdom will also become dull, and beings will decline. The body will also become stiff and shaky. Certainly, sins will increase without a doubt. The senses will also gradually weaken, and although attached to objects, their abilities will also diminish. Where will this body go in the future? If it is in hell, then it is very frightening. Thus. Fourth, the suffering of illness. Furthermore, the suffering of illness is very difficult to endure, the nature of the body changes, and the mind is not comfortable. Enjoying objects is not pleasing, and sorrow arises from the fear of death. Unable to bear the pain, one groans. When oppressed by the feeling of illness, the mind is disturbed, and no joy arises in anything. Consciousness is confused, and anger arises. Fearing death, sometimes one even thinks that dying is okay, wanting to commit suicide, or facing suicide, this feeling of oppression is like hell. In the upper commentary of the Hundred Deeds it is said: Those with bodies afflicted by illness, such is the feeling of hell, such as those that arise again and again, like the desire of the greedy for existence. Thus. Fifth, the suffering of death. Whether life is exhausted or not, in any case, in the bardo, the suffering of death is also very great. One lies on the final bed of food, clothing, speech, and bedding. One abandons life, body, relatives, attendants, friends, and pleasures. Alone, without support, one leaves, which is very frightening. He also lies on the final bed. The place, speech, food, clothing, and all the appearances of this life come to an end. One abandons relatives and enjoyments. No matter how much one has, one has no right to take it, and one goes alone to a strange land, not knowing what to do, and the heart is not happy, and one's breath is cut off by a strong feeling of pain. Wandering in self-appearance, without protector or refuge. The corpse is carried on a stretcher and taken to the cemetery, where it is eaten by jackals and other animals. The pain of the relatives wailing is immeasurable. In the Letter to a Friend it is said: Why am I like this, the Lord of Death presses his foot on my head and does not crush it? Such and such a vajra of sorrow, torments him with those who harm the mind. Relatives and friends are full of tears, and suffering is seen as the vajra of the heart.
