The impermanence shown by the way of passing into Nirvana with the sons and others: Furthermore, many teachers, Bhagavan, who appeared in those worlds, passed into Nirvana with their retinues. Thinking about the way their teachings disappeared, it also shows the impermanence of one's own life. The retinue of the self-born conqueror who guides the world, the protectors surrounded by the sons of the mighty one, like the rabbit-bearer (moon) that has never existed before in the clear sky, surrounded by rows of stars, shining brightly, harmoniously, and clearly, also show the way of impermanent Nirvana. The precious teachings are like countless suns, look at the disappearance of the past and the past. The body is like a water tree without essence, like an illusory house, why doesn't it perish? The teachers who appeared in this world of endurance, such as Vipashyin, Sikhin, Vishvabhu, Krakucchanda, Kanakamuni, Kashyapa, Shakyamuni, etc., are like the full moon rising on an autumn night, possessing shining brilliance, with Shravakas, Bodhisattvas, Brahma and world protectors, etc., appearing like stars surrounding them. The light of the body shines brightly, the speech is harmonious without noise, the mind is clear without defilement, and those who are as firm as Vajra also enter Nirvana. Look at the gradual disappearance of other teachings besides the Shakya sage. Like a bubble without essence, why is my body not impermanent? One should think like this. It is said in the chapter on impermanence: The body of the Sugata's essence, shining with a thousand names, is also impermanent even though it is made of a hundred merits. Like a bubble or a stone, it is unreliable. This body of oneself will surely perish. The victorious one who has passed away for the benefit of beings is like the sun, look at the moon of the treasury of the true Dharma disappearing. All of one's own perfections, retinue and enjoyments, should be known to be impermanent. So it is said. Sixth, impermanence is explained in a way that is neither added nor subtracted: Even a body like Vajra is impermanent, why can a body like a water tree remain stable? Such is the teaching. Therefore, death is certain, when death will occur, death here, death in this way, there is no certainty. Life

Constantly diminishing without increase, death's causes are many, and the chances of life are few. Without leisure in life, having restrained the mind, one should strive for Dharma from this very day. Moreover, because one is born, death is certain. The Sutra of the White Lotus of the Sacred Dharma says: If there is birth, there is death. If there is assembly, there is separation. Thus it is. Since time is uncertain, one does not know when one will die. The Sutra of the Auspicious Night says: Who knows whether one will die tomorrow? One should strive today. The great army of the Lord of Death and you two are not friends. Thus it is. Since there is no certainty where one will die, one should always think, whether walking, staying, sitting, or lying down, that I will die here. The Sutra of the Good Arm says: Whether on a mountain, in a desolate valley, a deep ravine, a cliff, in a house, on a street, or on the bank of a river, which direction of the earth will be my final resting place? One should know that there is no fixed time for this, and one should turn away from worldly pleasures. Thus it is. Death is not certain by this cause either. The Vinaya Sutra says: Some die from being stuffed with food, and some die from taking medicine. What need is there to mention unfavorable causes? Therefore, there is no certainty. Thus it is. Death is certain even with no increase and with decrease. The Words on Impermanence say: Like a pond with its source cut off, without increase and with decrease, all enter the path of death. Who can trust in a suddenly departing life? Thus it is. The Bodhicharyavatara says: Day and night without stopping, this life is constantly diminishing, and there is no way for increase to come. How could I not die? Thus it is. Death is certain because the causes of death are many and the causes of life are few. As before, it says: The causes of death are very many, and the causes of life are very few. Therefore, since one will quickly die, one should place one's mind on the sacred Dharma. Thus it is. Furthermore, the Precious Garland says: The causes of death are very many, and the causes of life are very few. These themselves are those who die. Therefore, always accumulate the treasury of Dharma. Thus it is. Seventh, the outer is impermanent, and so is the inner: In this way, one should contemplate death in one's own mind, just as with an old city in the external world. The mansion of the aggregation of the four elements, the sentient beings, adorned with the moving conceptual thoughts, is also born from causes.
