The reason is: In terms of the key point of unchanging awareness, initially it arises from the ground, and even if one is deluded in samsara, awareness does not become bad. Then, the lama points it out, and when one finds what was lost and wandered, one feels joy. There is no difference between good and bad in the awareness at the time of the initial loss and the time of delusion. There is no difference between uncultivated awareness and the time of cultivation. There is no good or bad in the awareness at the time of samsara and the time of transcendence, just as there is no difference between good and bad in the awareness when one is asleep, awake, and about to leave. However, since appearances have good and bad, just like dreams have happiness and suffering, one should cultivate the path in relation to these, but not expect the essence to become good, because awareness is unchanging. As it is said in Rangshar: Emaho! This precious wish-fulfilling jewel nectar, in the time of beginninglessness, I lost my precious wish-fulfilling jewel. At that time, I wandered around in suffering. This precious wish-fulfilling jewel nectar, there is no place to find it by searching, it arises from itself and is realized by oneself. This precious wish-fulfilling jewel nectar, one does not feel lost, but feels found. When lost, there is no object or characteristic, when found, it is endowed with the radiance of joy. The time of finding and the time of losing, one realizes in a state of non-difference. So it is said. That is to say, what is lost in the state of self-awareness is also found from self-nature, but it does not stray from the wheel of one's own self-awareness to another place. It is like losing a jewel in the king's treasury and suffering because there is no jewel. Finding it in the treasury increases joy and happiness, but both do not move from the same treasury. The appearance of samsara and nirvana as two from the state of awareness is also the same. This is the secret word for realizing the vast expanse of dharmata, the essential point of the wish-fulfilling jewel. Second, from that, the teaching of the practice of the lamp, there are three: the characteristics of the preliminary place, the actual way of establishing the lamp, and the way appearances arise from it. The first is: abandoning all the activities of this life, pleasing the noble lama, in an extremely secluded place, in a room decorated with darkness, abiding with the three immovables, fully cultivating guru yoga, and praying from the depths of one's heart, as it is said in Thalgyur: Establishing the lamp is as follows: A faithful person, detached from samsara, offering to the lama and giving

Should do. Sever all connections of samsara, in a secluded place or cemetery, dwell alone, severing friends. This is (scriptural quote). Second, regarding the two methods of focusing on the "Ah" (ཨ) and entering clarity. First, sit upright, and with the pressure of thumb and forefinger, focus on the appearance of the round sphere of red, clear, and pure light, and practice it. Short sessions, but do it many times. Relax the effort of the thumb and forefinger, watch a little, press again, and see the appearance, this is called the appearance of the manifest nature of reality. As the scripture says: With your own thumb and forefinger, press the lamp of the empty bindu. Whatever arises from that pressing, is the appearance of the manifest nature of reality. This is (scriptural quote). Entering clarity is: Starting from the appearance of the five lights, first like smoke, then like mist, illusion, like floating clouds, like sparks flying, like the sun and moon, like the shape of stars, like the rainbow in the sky, and bright white light, bright yellow light, bright red light, bright green light, blue, various colors, net-like patterns, radiating, round, bindu, stupa, Buddha statue, and various different forms of sentient beings, appearing and disappearing, fluttering back and forth, when naturally appearing, entering clarity, the limitless appearances of the five winds will arise. As "Total Liberation" says: From this, the experience of increasing wisdom, colors and shapes, everything inside and out is clearly manifest, increasing more and more. At this time, it is a sign of ease in body and speech, combined with the degree and order of appearance. This is (scriptural quote). Third, the way appearances arise from that is: First, a red and yellow circle, later appearing as the periphery of the five lights. This is also because the key of the winds is in motion, holding back slowly is the key. Then, practicing the clear part, the lamp is like a mirror, the light flickers, the bindu is like a bowl, from that, together with the Buddha image, it expands, as it says in that: The appearance of pressing like this is, first, pure red, power complete, round, self-luminous complete, from two fingers it becomes three. Then, by pressing again and again, the colors of the five wisdoms are, white, red, green, blue, yellow, appearing on the object, this is the result of effort. Then, the effortless external, also coming and going through the part of the winds, only the shape of a mirror, two
