The Sambhogakaya is the five emanations. The five fathers are: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amoghasiddhi, the five. The five mothers are: Dharmadhatu Vajra Dhatvishvari, Buddha Lochana, Mamaki, Pandaravasini, Samaya Tara, the five. The five clusters are: Akshobhya and the others, each surrounded by five, adorned with a halo of five lights. The five primordials are: the five paths are primordially complete, the five kayas are primordially accomplished, awareness is primordially manifest, the five lights are primordially pervasive, impurities are primordially purified. The five knowings are: from the measure of realization, knowing the five kayas, knowing the five wisdoms, knowing the five lights, knowing as self-appearance, knowing as the great liberation of non-duality. The five realizations are: realizing in the realm of space, realizing beings as kayas, realizing appearances as light, realizing spontaneous liberation as non-different, realizing wisdom as awareness. The five bases are: the base of clear light is awareness, the base of phenomena is the alaya, the base of delusion is mind, the base of the path is the lamp, the base of conceptualization is wisdom. The five paths are: the common path is the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning. The five uncommon paths are: the path of dharmata is space, the path of awareness is knowing, the path of clear light is the two lamps, the path of trekchö is spontaneous liberation, the path of tögal is space and awareness. The five fruits are: the fruit of wisdom is liberation in nature, the fruit of light is the cessation of illusory appearances, the fruit of realization is the purification of illusory concepts, the fruit of self-appearance is bringing to the end of exhaustion, the ultimate fruit is absorption into space. The five places are: the place of the bindu is citta (藏文,梵文天城体,citta,心, mind), the place of wisdom is the brain, the place of the lamp is the eye, the place of space appearance is the sky, the place of liberation is primordial purity. The five realms are: the realm of awareness is space, the realm of the lamp is the sky, the realm of wisdom is the bardo, the realm of light is self-appearance, the realm of the sambhogakaya is the mandala. The five essences are: the essence of awareness is primordial purity, the essence of wisdom is spontaneous accomplishment, the essence of light is the fivefold, the essence of wisdom is realization, the essence of the lamp is emptiness and clarity. Thus, among the fivefold appearances, some are the essence of the sambhogakaya, some are realms, some are methods, some are appearances, some are wisdom, therefore the sambhogakaya is said to be a single cluster. Secondly, the definition is: enjoying qualities, acting in clear light, spontaneously accomplishing the two benefits, wisdom reaching its limit, possessing the marks and signs.

Furthermore, the Sambhogakaya is referred to as the body of radiant light and the five sounds. As it says in Rangshar: "Because it abides in the nature of emptiness, it is complete. Because it is clear and unmixed, pervading all, it is complete. Because the five wisdoms are inseparable and luxuriant, it is complete. Because it is unlike all others and possesses its own name, it is complete. Because method and wisdom abide without separation, it is complete. Because the five appearances abide without characteristics, it is enjoyed. Because it is without grasping, self-luminous, and plays in all, it is enjoyed. Because it is clear and distinct, abiding equally in all, it is enjoyed. Because it is bright and present, abiding in the realm and emanating manifestations, it is enjoyed. Because it contemplates the two bodies and enjoys ultimate perfection, it is enjoyed. Because it is clear and distinct, abiding equally in all, it is enjoyed. Because it is bright and present, abiding in the realm and emanating manifestations, it is enjoyed. Because it contemplates the meaning of the two bodies and enjoys ultimate perfection, it is enjoyed. Because it abides on the ground without grasping and performs manifestations in the ten directions, it is enjoyed. Because it is the ultimate perfection of all arising, creation, and enjoyment, it is enjoyed. Because it transcends all outer, inner, and secret activities, it is complete. Because it appears all at once in the object without focus, it is complete. Because it does not fall into any direction and has no coming or going, it is complete. Because it arises from its own nature without being made, it is complete. Because all activities transcend all, it is complete. The wisdom of emptiness is endowed with itself. Emptiness is unceasing, clear in each. Wisdom is unceasing, enjoying method. Clear and non-conceptual, without grasping. Adornments and attire, possessing characteristics. Without grasping, self-luminous, abiding in essence, it is the body. Possessing the characteristics of each color, it is the body. The meaning of vajra itself is meaningful, it is the body. Meaning and signs, each possessing its own name, it is the body. Without outer and inner, completely clear, it is the body. Essence unchanging, color clear, it is the body. Nature compassion, appearing in the ten directions, it is the body." Thus it is said. Third, the characteristics are: The mandalas of the five families are unmixed, and their radiance is clear. As it says in Rangshar: "Colors unmixed, each holding its own name. Possessing auspicious marks and signs, blazing with light. Holding the attire of father, mother, and body. The complete enjoyment is the characteristic of the body." Thus it is said. Fourth, the manner of appearance is: From the single nature of awareness, from the Dharmadhatu body, the ray body radiates in the ten directions, accomplishing the purpose, and the awareness body does not move from the Dharmadhatu and is without change, complete in the realm of self-appearing light.
