The key point is: For beings experiencing the suffering of hot and cold hells, and beings experiencing the bliss of all Buddhas, there is not even a particle of difference in obtaining the door of realization, Samantabhadra, I have taught. Hey, Vajra of Speech! On the key point of unchanging awareness, there is not even a particle of difference between beings who have cut off the proliferation of mind and phenomena, and those who view the self as permanent, Samantabhadra, I have taught. Hey, Vajra of Speech! On the key point of the Dharmakaya being self-existent, there is not even a particle of difference between beings who make various offerings, praises, and prayers externally, and those who abide free from actions and activities, in obtaining the result, Samantabhadra, I have taught. Hey, Vajra of Speech! Therefore, beings who practice these words of the Great Self-Arisen, without effort, will gain confidence in experiencing, and will awaken into Buddhahood without separation from appearances and the three kayas. Thus it was said. These eight kingly words are established by eight great reasons of unchanging meaning, and should be explained to those of superior intelligence as they are, because the nature of awareness is precisely that. For those of lesser capacity, explain by dividing into the two truths, so that they may gradually realize, but if you explain directly, they will become hateful. As it says in Rangshar: When a lion roars its own sound, all the beasts faint and are afraid; When Dzogchen speaks its own sound, all the lesser vehicles faint. Therefore, it is advised to keep secret from those who are without fortune and who cling to cause and effect as the ultimate meaning. As it says in the former: These words should not be mentioned even a particle among the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and so on. Why is that? Because when they hear all these words, they will be frightened, startled, and faint, and they will not believe in the secret mantras and will develop wrong views, and as a result of that ripening, beings will experience the great suffering of hell. What need is there to mention teaching and hearing, let alone speaking even in the direction of the wind? It also says in the common secret mantra: To proclaim secrets to beings who are not fully ripened is the seventh downfall. It also says in the Bodhisattva Bhumi: To teach emptiness to those whose minds are not trained is a root downfall. Therefore, keep it secret.

I! Furthermore, in order to purify the eight aggregates of consciousness, there are eight wonderful great words, and twelve immutable great nail-letters, which are used as a vow to repeatedly recite the inexhaustible Dharma, without the slightest timidity in the heart. Because there is no hope, doubt, bondage, or attachment, Samsara and Nirvana are regarded as one, and the great namelessness is abandoned. For the great yogis who have reached that state, it is directly stated that there is no cause and effect, good or evil, just like Padmasambhava (པདྨ་, Padma), Vimala (བི་མ་ལ་, Vimala), and Tilopa (ཏེ་ལོ་པ་, Telo), and so on. Although we understand this intellectually, we have not yet truly reached that state due to habit. Therefore, we are not afraid of the nature, and we are cautious about the subtle karmic results, and we explain the two in combination. In this way, the twelve vajra laughs, repeated three times with three vows, become thirty-six, because the root defilements, the twelve links of dependent origination, follow the law, return from the law, and completely disintegrate, these thirty-six states are understood in conjunction with purification. These meanings, because the vows are certain, are briefly explained, and it is sufficient to elaborate on the meaning of the words. The second general meaning, cutting off with one stroke, there are three ways to bind the vows: the view is determined as self-arisen wisdom, the intention is maintained in the past, present, and future at all times, and abiding in the nature of no-Dharma, and repeatedly reciting it. The first is to determine that one's own awareness is the nature of emptiness, clarity, and immutability, this transparent, naked nature, do not use the methods of view, meditation, action, result, etc. to transform and defile it, but with the uncreated, spontaneously accomplished great view, great meditation, cultivate in a natural, open way. As it is said in "Accomplishment of Merit": "The abode of secret mantra awareness is the key to view, meditation, and action. In the wisdom of inner and outer secrets, the thoughts in the mind are not distracted, this is called the secret view of secret mantra. The Bhagavan Lion Dharmakaya, is in a state of samadhi free from grasping and being grasped. In the view of no characteristics, the wisdom of great equanimity is clear. It also says: In the Dharmakaya from which all things arise, merge into the vast and boundless realm. Without fabrication, it is action, seeing one's own appearance is seeing. Not being distracted from this is meditation, without acceptance or rejection, one attains samadhi. Without partiality, one attains the ground, unmade, spontaneous, and inherently accomplished. It also says: In the boundless self-arisen ocean of Dharmata, self-luminous, free from thought, gold.
