Therefore, it is impossible to deviate from the reality of things. Since it is always inseparable from reality, the four appearances are sure to reach their limit. That is, due to movement, it sways, therefore it is called regression. Liberation from these is the key. Second, measuring with three abidings, there are three: abandoning actions with the three abidings of the body; measuring non-arising with the three abidings of the breath; and believing in non-regression with the three abidings of appearances. The first three are: the body abides without dwelling on actions, so the delusion of samsara cannot increase; the extension and contraction of the limbs abide, so the wheel of delusion is continuously cut off; placing the action on the basis, it is certain to be separated from the ripening of accumulated karma. The second three are: the breath does not go out and abides, so there is no harm from the difference in external appearances; filling the eyes inward and abiding, there is no basis for various thoughts; not moving in and out and abiding, the basis for clinging to both samsara and nirvana is emptied. The third three abidings of appearances are: the light does not flicker and abides, recognizing that it will not regress to the three realms; the awareness does not flicker and abides, the edge of karma and ripening is exhausted; the body does not tremble and abides, and all the leaks of the body naturally exhaust themselves. At this time, the four signs of the body reach their limit, which arises from obtaining certainty on the basis of the four empowerments. The four signs of speech reach their limit, which arises from definitely obtaining the path of the four empowerments. The four signs of mind reach their limit, which arises from the manifestation of the fruit of the four empowerments. That is, at the time of the manifestation of Dharmata, the body is like a turtle placed in a wooden bowl, which arises from the slow abiding of the body's channels. This is the meaning of the Great Perfection, free from action and effort, entering the limbs of the body, because the karma of the vase empowerment is purified, and wisdom with elaboration will surely arise spontaneously. In the period of increase, the body is like a person afflicted by disease, which arises from the breath entering the central channel. This is the meaning of the Great Perfection, without acceptance or rejection, entering the general, because the karma of the secret empowerment is purified, and wisdom without elaboration arises spontaneously. At the time of reaching the limit, the body is like an elephant sinking into the mud, which arises from the mind touching the channels and breath. This is the Great Perfection abandoning

Entering the meaning of non-action, what arises from the purification of bodily actions through the power of wisdom and awareness is the spontaneously arising wisdom that is utterly free from elaboration. When exhausted, the body vanishes like dew on a net of dakinis, arising from the mind entering the net of clear light. The meaning of the Great Perfection, self-liberation, and equality enters the eye of the body, and through the power of words, the actions of the body are purified, and the utterly non-elaborate wisdom arises spontaneously. These are approximate representations through examples, but in reality, the delusions of the body are signs of self-purification. The letters of signs and measures are intended for the general meaning, and these are well-established meanings, as stated by Vimalamitra. The basis of speech is also like the four appearances and the order. Speech becoming like the appearance of a mute arises from consciousness entering the channels. This is the self-purification of the meaning spoken of in the Great Perfection, entering the expression of speech, cutting off external elaboration, and appearing in the state of inner awareness. Speech vanishing like the spontaneous eruption of a madman's words arises from the purity of the nature of the words spoken of in the Great Perfection. The sound of the words spoken of in the Great Perfection, which are definitely liberated, enters into it, and the meaning of non-elaboration is realized within. Speech vanishing like a fragment of a clay pot falling from a rock arises from the gathering of compassion in the power of wisdom and awareness. The meaning of the Great Perfection, which transcends speech and thought, enters the transformation of speech, and the limit of clinging to words without elaboration is reached. Speech appearing like the form of an echo arises from the letters of the channel places entering the bindu of wind. The meaning of the Great Perfection, which is beyond expression, enters the sound of speech, and the utterly non-elaborate, transcending the realm of what can be spoken, arises from being left as it is. The spoken example appears with a meaning that cannot be spoken. The four signs of mind should also be known like the four appearances and the order. The mind vanishing as if caught in a net of dakinis arises from the merging of awareness and clear light. The Great Perfection, non-grasping, self-liberation, entering the appearance of mind, arises from the completion of the power of elaboration. The mind vanishing as if a person were poisoned arises from the mind being liberated into the realm of non-birth. The Great Perfection
