It should be known thus. Because it is able to cross over the true realm of wisdom, it is called the wind of karma at the end of the kalpa, which has no compassion. Because it abides without separation from the appearance of wisdom, it is called the wind that is combined with fire. Thus, the five pure winds rely on the wisdom of awareness and now abide in the heart, which is the key point of the wisdom's own radiance appearing as five lights. When awareness is separated from the wind, wisdom merges into the dharmadhatu, and the disappearance of inner and outer also lies in the key point of the purification of wind and mind. Here, to explain briefly, the essence of the naturally pure awareness jewel abides in the palace of self-luminous light with the nature of the three: essence, nature, and compassion. Among them, the essence abides in the body, although it does not reveal its own benefit, the blueprint of the outwardly appearing body is not interrupted, and it is self-illuminating. The blueprint of the five lights of nature, the four branch life-winds, eternally exists in the essence of speech. The essence of compassion, self-born awareness, is spontaneously accomplished as the wisdom of the two knowledges. The face of body and wisdom inseparable abides without change. The two knowledges are: the essence, in relation to the inner clarity of dharmata, is omniscient. The appearance, in relation to the outer clarity of phenomena, is the appearance of the wisdom of all-knowing. The five winds are: the root life-wind, if purified from the aspect of the wisdom of compassion and awareness, is the wisdom of the Buddha; if not purified, it is the basis on which the aggregates of sentient beings' thoughts appear. The four branch winds that emanate from this are the power of compassion, like the rays of the sun. Moving upward is the horse of wisdom, flowing downward is the radiance of eliminating wisdom, the powerful one that ripens together with fire, and the pervasive one that perfects. Although these exist only in the aspect of the life-wind, they have not emanated into the dharmadhatu, but abide only in the essence where the basis of emanation has not ceased, which is the branch of the essence appearing as light. Thus, it is also said in the Kunsel: The way his body abides is like the image of a clear and empty water bubble. The way his speech exists is like the four branch winds, like the sparks of fire, appearing in the realm of awareness. The way his mind manifests is the essence of the life-wind itself, the spark of wisdom without partiality.

Thus. The essence of the essence abides in the five wisdoms. So it is said. That is the wisdom undefiled by any conceptualization, which cannot be reformed or changed, and cannot be recognized or measured, like the earth and the sky. Because it is as bright and fine as hair, it is like a spark behind a butter lamp. The essence of the sphere is the Dharmakaya. It abides in awareness, therefore it holds the basis of everything. Its dwelling palace is, as it says: The Dharmadhatu is the empty and pervasive sky. Therefore, the Dharmakaya, just by dwelling in a precious container, is called the natural sound of the purity of Dharmata. Awareness has a house of light, and abides in the appearance of light. That is the initial general basis, the sphere of awareness, which is the meaning of connecting with the five winds. Second, the five fires are explained in detail. In the "Self-Arisen" it says: There are five fires, namely the fire that pervades everything inside and outside, the fire that illuminates everything inside and outside, the fire that is equal in everything inside and outside, the fire that distinguishes activities inside and outside, and the fire that accomplishes activities inside and outside. So it is said. Those also, in order, abide in the lungs and eyes and the five limbs, that is six, and between the flesh and skin, and in the two soles of the feet, and in the two palms of the hands, and generate warmth. Third, there are also five earths, as it says: There are also five earths, namely the earth that appears everywhere, the unchanging vajra earth, the precious earth that arises from everything, the all-encompassing infinite earth that shows appearances, and the earth of ultimate accomplishment. So it is said. Those also, in order, abide as a support together with awareness, together with the lamp, together with the bindu, together with wisdom, and together with prajna. Fourth, the five waters also come from the "Self-Arisen": The five kinds of water are: the unchanging water, the peaceful and clear water, the water that increases the arising of qualities, the water without attachment, and the water of non-grasping perfection. So it is said. Those also, according to the order, abide in all the channels, all the bones, all the blood, all the serum, and in the two eyes, therefore they moisten and maintain clarity. Fifth, the five spaces are, also as stated in the "Self-Arisen": The five spaces are: the space that pervades everything universally, the space of the clear sound without location, the space of unmixed purity, the space that represents meaning
