Even if nirvana is not attained, In future lives, without effort, It will surely be attained according to karma. As it is said. With the remainder of these, the great vehicle's contemplation has been explained. Third, the Sugata's intention has two aspects. The concise teaching is from Rangshar: The Sugata's intention Should be known in the expanse of the sky. If one becomes accustomed to it, The light of wisdom will spontaneously arise. The correct path is also like that. So it is said. The extensive explanation is from Nyi Da Kha Jor: The Sugata's intention has two aspects: By leaving it uncorrected, arising feelings cease. By looking without meditating, the warmth is found. So it is said. That is, in the appearance of dharmata, without hope, fear, elaboration, or contraction, in the great equality of samatha and vipashyana, the intention is uninterrupted, the yoga of a continuous stream. In the nature of the sky, without beginning or end, without distraction or non-distraction, it is placed as one in the expanse. At this time, it is called the meditation of day and night union. Day is the past part, night is the part of samsara. Day and night are indistinguishable, so when it dawns, The meditation experience has no clarity during the day. The night is not unclear, but passes clearly. The second meaning is the method of keeping the ocean still. The clear essence of tears is called the ocean, and keeping it still is called keeping the ocean still. Also, if you don't meditate, you don't meditate. From the time you meditate, the key is to stare without blinking. By doing so, for example, in the ocean, whatever images of planets and stars appear, all appear clearly in the field of appearance, but not in the field of grasping, so like the ocean is not stained. In the yogi's vision, whatever external appearances arise, they appear in the appearance, but the awareness is not lost on the appearance, so it is not in the field of grasping, so it is not stained. External appearances do not stain awareness, internal awareness does not grasp appearances, the connection between appearance and awareness is cut off, so it is purified in the absence of grasping and grasper, which is called the meditation of the six aggregates being free. This has two aspects: the actual meditation and the cutting off of wrong paths. The actual is to restrain the vital points of wind and mind and leave the awareness in its own place. From Thalgyur: Meditation is the mind abiding, Cutting off external and internal movements, The cessation of grasping and grasper. So it is said. From Yige Medpa: From the beginning, uncorrected, spontaneously abiding

. Unaltered by appearances, uncorrected by the mind, when the nature of reality abides in space, it is shown as the intent. The wisdom of the Dharmakaya, abandoning all thoughts, if there is no movement, it is the intent of meditation. If one does not grasp at the directions of the object, like the stars appearing in the ocean. The unceasing clarity of non-grasping, the way of abiding in intent is just like that. Thus it is said. At that time, the intent of the nature of reality, the original state, is perfected. In the Six Spaces it says: In the very nature of mind, which is purely existent, the objects of the five senses are self-purified. Like water that is not turbid, but clear, all appearances are perfected in their own place. Thus it is said. Second, cutting off the wrong paths: That is, if the six consciousnesses cease and go into unconsciousness, it becomes a wrong path by going to one side of calm abiding. If it goes to distraction and wildness, it becomes a wrong path. If the clear essence of one's own sound is not found, it becomes a wrong path. If one grasps at one-pointedness and becomes rigid, it becomes a wrong path. In short, it should be recognized that anything other than the meditation of self-awareness, self-clarity, freedom, non-grasping, and self-abiding is a wrong path. In Thalgyur it says: The meditation that abides in the head is when the doors of the senses are clear, and the mind is not moved by thoughts. The mind itself uses knowledge, the mind uses outward, the mind itself does not leak outward. Thus it is said. Also, knowledge is not defiled by appearances, and appearances are not used by knowledge. The nature is clear and bright, and there is no rigidity of grasping at one-pointedness. The vastness is open, the vastness is boundless, and the great self-liberation is vast. This is the meditation of self-born wisdom. In that very thing it says: The characteristics of meditation are the way things appear. The characteristics are emptiness, clarity, and awareness. The nature is not mixed with anything. The limits of the grasper and the grasped are exhausted, and the nature of reality is self-nature, pure. Thus it is said. Incidentally, the faults of not meditating: In that it says: The faults of not meditating are that the characteristics of samsara are clearly manifest. Self and other, object and knowledge, and words and views, and the objects of focus, are bound by afflictions. Also, the path to Buddhahood is lost, and the nature of the fruit is not known. Also, there is no basis for the equality of all dharmas, and the self-aware three realms are bound. Also, one falls into the fault of having thoughts. Thus it is said. Therefore, one should strive in meditation. Third, its intent, the nature of reality of the basis of existence and non-existence appearing, is that whatever appears as discrimination and analysis, which was previously established as the basis, is the path.
