In the earth itself, the groups of conceptual thoughts are self-liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as sound and words, the terms and names are self-liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as coarse, the conditions of the four elements are self-liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as grasping and being grasped, the self-grasping of bondage is completely liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as existence, things are all self-liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as non-existence, emptinesses are all self-liberated. In the mind-essence of existence and non-existence, the extremes of tenets are all self-liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as dharma, their own characteristics are completely liberated. In the mind-essence that appears as non-dharma, confusions are all self-liberated. Thus. The second meaning is that there are four yogas for constant practice in meditation: the meditation of the union of day and night, its instruction is the method of placing like an ocean, its view is the nature of reality that establishes the basis of appearance and existence, and its result is the self-liberation of afflictions. The first has three parts, on the union of sun and moon, there are three meditations: the meditation of the mind of deities and so on, the contemplation of the Great Vehicle, and the intention of all the Buddhas of the three times. Thus it is said. In the Decisive Treatise, it says: What arises from the natural state is to be called contemplation. Channels, winds, and bindus, body key points, eyes, and emptiness, are said to be meditation. Letters, light, and colors, the expansion and contraction of various transformations, are said to be samadhi. The unmade, self-abiding reality, how it does not change from that, is the intention of the Buddhas. Thus it is said. Among them, the first, the meditation of the deity and the mother, is twenty-one holdings of the mind, in that very sutra it says: Twenty-one stages of learning for holding the mind, first placing in the place, second separating body and mind, third seeing the nature of reality. At this time, the key points of body, speech, and mind, the one with yoga makes freedom, the horse of the moving wind also, mixing and shooting and gathering, if the skilled one in the three key points relies on it, the continuous thoughts of the mind will cease. Thus, the meaning of what is said, taking it into practice has three parts: the first set of seven, with one's own mind abiding in the place, the second with body and mind grasping and separating, the third showing the seeing of the nature of reality. The first, with seven signs, grasping the mind with the white letter A, a cushion that is in accordance with the place and mind

Sit comfortably in the vajra posture, and visualize a white "Ah" (ཨ) syllable shining at the tip of your nose. As you exhale, visualize the "Ah" syllable moving outwards as well; as you inhale, visualize the "Ah" syllable moving inwards as well, and meditate by mixing it with your breath. If there is a feverish illness in the body, then visualize the "Ah" syllable as cold; if suffering from a cold illness, then visualize the "Ah" syllable as warm, and practice diligently day and night. In this way, a unique experience beyond joy and sorrow will arise. The essential points of the body and the essential points of the breath are all the same. If there is a fault in this, it is to focus the mind on the letter "Pha" (ཕ), momentarily let the awareness relax, and then forcefully utter "Phaṭ [藏文:ཕཊ]" (phaṭ,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,Cutting through), so that awareness becomes non-conceptual and astonished. Before thoughts arise, maintain focus, and then again utter "Phaṭ [藏文:ཕཊ]" (phaṭ,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,Cutting through) day and night. In this way, the meditation of empty-clear self-radiance will arise. Furthermore, focusing the mind on the laughter of a wrathful deity, utter a strong and short "Ha," and focus on it as before, so that the experience of non-conceptual clear radiance will arise. Focusing the mind on the Asura's fighting, sit on a mountaintop or cliff, etc., squatting with the body, first slowly rotate the head, and move the body slowly. After doing this for three or four days, then vigorously and with all your strength rotate and move the body. In this way, external appearances will become red and bloody, yellow and shimmering, blue and swirling, gradually fading away, and turning grayish-white. After that, external appearances will cease on their own, and you will see that nothing has any inherent existence, thereby experiencing the feeling of seeing appearances self-liberating. At this time, consume food that is beneficial for the breath. Focus the mind on the letter "Ram [藏文:རཾ]" (raṃ,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,Fire) at the navel. Focusing the mind on dispelling thoughts with "Hūṃ [藏文:ཧཱུྃ]" (hūṃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,Seed Syllable), mix the elongated "Hūṃ [藏文:ཧཱུྃ]" (hūṃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,Seed Syllable) with the breath, and keep the mind focused without straying elsewhere. Occasionally uttering a short "Hūṃ [藏文:ཧཱུྃ]" (hūṃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,Seed Syllable), the experience of thoughts dissolving into dharmata will arise. Similarly, meditate on "Ram [藏文:རཾ]" (raṃ,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,Fire) at the navel, harmonize the breath and the essential points of the body, visualize yourself as the form of a deity, and focus on the subtle form of the deity emanating from the tip of the nose and the pores of the skin, so that the experience of great clear and pure wisdom will arise. Second, the seven essential points of the forehead for grasping and clinging to body and mind: The breath and essential points of the body are as before. Focus the mind on a red and white mixed drop, about the size of a pea, between the eyebrows. This will give rise to the experience of breath. The center of the body
