Da. Having understood its meaning through contemplation, one subdues the afflictions; by placing the realization into practice through meditation, one definitively eradicates the afflictions from the root. As stated in the "Union of Sun and Moon Sutra": "The wisdom of listening cuts off external false attachments, the wisdom of contemplation cuts off internal false attachments, and the wisdom of meditation cuts off secret false attachments." As an aid to this, just as a bird without doubt comes without error after having cut off false attachments before entering its nest, having cut off the false attachments of listening and contemplation, one practices the instructions in which one has confidence. As an aid to this, the behavior like that of a wild animal, which is not the domain of everyone, is that the yogi, fearing the shame of falling into samsara, dwells alone in a mountain where people do not go, and practices, just like a wild animal wanders alone because of the shame of its wounds. As an aid to this, the behavior like that of a mute is that one cuts off speech and does not speak to anyone. When one does this, because memory becomes rigid, the behavior like that of a madman is that the actions of body, speech, and mind are without control, and naturally arise like a madman. At this time, behavior like that of a dog or pig, without cleanliness or impurity, naturally arises, and one enjoys food and clothing without any choice. When these six are complete, one is not overwhelmed by the behavior of others, but rather one overcomes others, and behavior like that of a lion arises, just as a lion has no fear or hesitation towards anything, this yogi also becomes free from all harm from appearances, humans, and non-humans, and is able to dominate anything. If these behaviors are named as human names, they are called the behavior of dominating appearances. That also enables one to dominate others, to revive the dead, to accomplish siddhis, and the experience of dharma burns like the intoxication of alcohol, free from doubt on any side, and thus one is able to dominate the four elements. Secondly, regarding its instructions, in the method of abiding in appearances, whatever appears, one looks at the nature of mind abiding on the appearance, just as snow falls on a hot stone, it naturally dissolves and disappears on the appearance itself, and that also includes appearing as birth, appearing as cessation, appearing as coming and going, and so on. By practicing on things that are different and fragmented, attachment is liberated, and appearance also

I am empty of truth, like an image, like the moon in water, like an echo, like an emanation, like an illusion, like a mirage, like an eye disease, completely pure like a dream. By practicing the unborn nature of the general Dharma, one realizes the primordial peace like the sky. The Sixth Realm Space Continuum says: In the nature of mind that has birth, the appearance of the six realms arises spontaneously. In holding onto various different forms, the appearance is completely matured into form. In the nature of mind that has cessation, impermanent causes arise spontaneously. In the appearance without self-nature, it is complete like a dream. In the nature of mind that has elaboration, various appearances arise spontaneously. In the appearance of each of the five senses, it is complete from the ground of holding its own place. In the nature of mind that can be taught, sounds, words, and names arise spontaneously. In the purification of conceptual minds, the secret instructions of the Lama are complete. In the nature of mind that can be seen, various arising conditions arise spontaneously. In the realm of appearance, it is manifest, complete in its own clear nature without mixing. Thus it is. Third, from that arises the intention of establishing the basis of existence and non-existence. All the Dharmas of Samsara and Nirvana, although not practiced, arise spontaneously in the mind, and there is no obstruction to anything. Again, that same continuum says: Again, in the nature of mind that is without, the appearance free from hope and fear is called the intention of primordial abiding with confidence, taught by me, Samantabhadra. In the nature of mind without appearance, the appearance of a single subtle part is called the intention of great freedom from elaboration, taught by me, Samantabhadra. Thus, when intention is in intention, and the mind is also determined, the yogi also gains power over the mind, and is liberated from the bondage of defilements. Thus it is. Fourth, at that time, the result of the aggregates and afflictions dwelling is, the Garland of Pearls says: The aggregates, elements, and sources are liberated in the nature of lineage and lineage. Thus it is. Since all conditions are liberated by conditions, I do not rely on the object of focus. Since all objects are liberated by objects, I do not rely on the two, grasper and grasped. Since all causes are liberated by causes, I do not rely on the two, Samsara and Nirvana. Since Dharma is liberated by Dharma, I do not rely on words and terms. Since mind nature is liberated by mind, I do not rely on the expressive mind. Thus it is. The Sixth Realm Space Continuum says: The mind of the appearance of the six aggregates
