All statements about having wisdom refer to the aspect of self-existing perfect nature. Since there is no contradiction, primordial purity and self-existing perfection are non-dual. Secondly, explaining the nature in detail: Within the Dharmakaya of primordial purity, the wisdom of self-existing perfection exists as a subtle nature. In the wisdom that is the basis, it actually exists in a subtle way. From that aspect, the five wisdoms that grasp characteristics, and the part of the manifestation of the wisdom of knowing objects of knowledge, exist just before they actually manifest. In the *Thal 'Gyur* it says: "When the mind itself ripens, it abides as the basis in the Dharmakaya. From the beginning, it is pure, and defilements cease. The essence is never confused. The manifesting agent does not cease, it is self-existing." That is how it is. Also, in the sphere of primordial purity, that which exists as self-existing perfection, the subtle aspect of essence, nature, and compassion actually appears. These three wisdoms that are the basis are the basis for the other two wisdoms. Also, in that same text it says: "Thus, the mind itself is liberated, it is not without compassion. The wisdom that abides on the basis, is the basis of the power of nature. The wisdom that grasps characteristics, causes the purification of conditions to ripen. The wisdom of knowledge and objects of knowledge, bestows accomplishment on those who have faith." That is how it is. The way in which these three that are the basis act as the basis is: Essence is the basis of the three kayas, but the three kayas have not yet manifested as distinct appearances. Nature is the basis of the five lights, but the colors have not yet manifested as their own characteristics. Compassion is the basis of the two wisdoms, but there is no actual measure in terms of objects and aspects. In the *Thal 'Gyur* it says: "Also, since essence abides as the kaya, the manifestations of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya, are without the manner of being divided, they are accomplished from the descent itself. The colors of the body and so forth are not within the scope of the mind. The way in which nature manifests as light, white, red, yellow, green, and blue, are not characterized by distinctions, but are accomplished from the descent of non-discriminating knowledge. Compassion manifests in various ways, because there is no certainty of one like this, so it appears in various ways, and is called the basis." And in the *Klong Drug Pa* it says: "Because the coarse characteristics are self-purified, it abides as the great basis of profound clarity. Empty by pervasion and pervasiveness, from equality it appears without interruption. The aspect of manifesting appearance does not cease. The essence of all essences is condensed, without defilement, and pure in itself."

The Buddhas, in great secrecy, abide in the aspect of self-nature. From the various manifestations of compassion, emptiness never ceases. In the two wisdoms of knowable objects, it appears from the aspect of manifestation. From the self-purification of non-existent appearances, the compassion of self-nature's power, because there is no effort of action, in the manner of unmade appearances, it appears without any inherent separation. Like light to the sun, it is not something done by oneself, but one's own self-nature appears as such. Thus it is said. The wisdom of the compassionate aspect that knows the suchness of knowable objects knows the reality of one's own objects. If there is no aspect of that wisdom, what difference is there from the form of the four elements? The wisdom of compassion that knows the extent of knowable objects knows the thoughts of those to be tamed. Without this, it is the same as space. Therefore, the omniscient wisdom appears in the aspect of compassion. All of this is not held by memory, but abides in self-nature, and does not coarsely abide in grasping and being grasped. Appearing in the aspect of profound, clear, and subtle aspects, this is the path of sentient beings. It grows upwards like a seed. Without ceasing this manifestation, like the power of a medicine that is compatible with oneself, it appears harmoniously to the six realms. Therefore, it is called compassion. Thus it is. Also, from the aspect of planning, when the emanation body arises, the two wisdoms also actually benefit the six types of beings to be tamed, but at the time of original purity, there is actually none, and the aspect abides in the form of a seed. It is also said in the Sixth Space Treasure: "Essence, self-nature, and the manifestation of compassion appear to the wise. Because essence is not established in anything, the aspect of self-nature appears clearly. From the aspect of compassion, the two wisdoms arise without action or agent. Because arising manifestation is the two stages, such activities of wisdom appear to be free from effort and accomplishment. The wisdom of the Buddhas appears in this way from the ground." Thus it is said. Thus, the ultimate Dharmakaya, inseparable from space and wisdom, is called the Great Original Purity, the place of liberation inseparable from original purity and spontaneous accomplishment. Although self-nature abides in planning, because essence is not established in anything, the ultimate truth is the single Great Perfection, the Dharma-nature beyond body and wisdom, like space, is the ultimate.
