Napa said: The darkness of ignorance is dispelled, the obscurations of knowledge are self-purified, without searching, the fruit is seen by itself. The meaning of what was said like this should be introduced in sequence. Here, the first general basis, the spontaneously arisen Dharmakaya, should be introduced. Therein, essence, nature, and compassion reside in three aspects, the essence of emptiness and awareness, the single bindu. A teacher holds a clear mirror and shows it to the student, saying this: This clear mirror of Samantabhadra, with similar examples, makes one realize the nature. The meaning of realization is the introduction of clarity. First is the introduction of the state of Samantabhadra. Awareness abides transparently, like a crystal. Awareness is clear without concepts, like a crystal. Awareness abides spontaneously accomplished, like a crystal. Awareness is unceasing and impartial, like a crystal. As it is said, although the five lights are clear outwardly, it is the nature of being clear from within. The nature is, the white light also abides inseparably from it, thus representing compassion. The crystal represents Kadag and the three aspects, but being inseparable, one should comprehend how the meaning of the single bindu abides through that example. Then, what represents the basis of delusion is, holding the crystal up to the sunlight and showing the two lights inside outwards, at the time when the basis-appearance arises from the basis, ignorance with the same self-nature as the cause-condition. The object possessing five colors. The white and subtle one represents the mind searching everywhere. The initial movement arises together with the light, thus the co-emergent ignorance arises as the obscuration of knowledge. Samantabhadra arises from the basis, and with the power of supreme wisdom, distinguishes in an instant. In an instant, he becomes fully enlightened, and having become enlightened before, is the great ancestor without a common ancestor of all Buddhas. With this method of liberation, one should know all the ways the first Buddha arises and appears. The first Buddha is without cause, the Buddha has no beginning or end, one wisdom eye is without stain. As Manjushri said, this is the basis of liberation of Samantabhadra. Also, having recognized that the basis-appearance arises from the basis and being liberated, many Buddhas who have not been deluded in samsara are now also appearing from the Dharmadhatu, there are countless, it is said. That basis-appearance is the...

Because the ground's own appearance is not known, the afflictive obscuration of the imputational ignorance arises. Therefore, due to habits, various confusions arise in the rising and sleeping of awareness. This is like placing silk on crystals of various colors, or placing white light on various colors such as white. There, the wisdom of awareness is the net of conceptual thoughts, and by entering into the cavities of the body, the way the four-grasping awareness dwells in the heart, and the way it pervades all sentient beings, is introduced. This is also an introduction to the way of confusion of self-nature. Confusion arises from conditions, like the light of a crystal. Appearances of various things are like the light of a crystal. Although it appears, its essence does not change, like a crystal. Because it is inexhaustible and does not increase, it is like the light of a crystal. Having understood these words, the meaning of the words is well conveyed. The meaning of the words of how confused sentient beings are liberated is: From the burning of a lamp, the ground itself is the wisdom that ripens the fruit. By wisdom ripening into the body, that nature Dharmakaya, ripens into the wisdom Dharmakaya. As it is said, from the heart, the wisdom is tripled, and the breath of the lungs and the sound of wisdom meet, and the potential arises as mind, the potential dissolves into the ground, and the example of abiding immovably. The inner light shines outward, white is the example of mind. The sixth is called mind. The five lights are the example of wisdom. It is the awareness that holds the ground. The introduction of the example of mind and wisdom is appropriate. The introduction of the bardo is the three of sound, light, and rays, and the introduction of the inner channel of Vajrasattva, etc., generate certainty about the crystal, and after the yogi gives recognition and knowledge, generate faith and strive in practice. The way of liberation in the result is: Above, the basis of liberation of inner clarity, the self-arisen nature body, is clear, but outwardly clear, so the introduction is to the mixing of the five lights and white. If there is wisdom, this is very important. Or, thinking that there is no wisdom of the path, the Middle Way is extremely unstable, or we think that the Great Perfection original purity has no wisdom. Although confusion is purified from the root, the two bodies appear uninterruptedly, and wisdom must exist in the Dharmadhatu, so the mixing of the five lights and white is mirror wisdom. Also, white retur
