For example: Among the three explanations of individual nature, the first is the empowerment with elaboration, then the without elaboration, then the extremely without elaboration, and then the utterly without elaboration, which are determined as four and reasonable because: When a fortunate person enters this path, if the external elaborations are not cut off at the beginning, the elaborations of appearance, consciousness, and aggregates cannot be stopped; if the internal non-elaboration is not gathered, it cannot be integrated into the path of the mind; if the secret extreme non-elaboration is not cut off, the lamp cannot illuminate the path; if the unsurpassed utter non-elaboration is not truly given, the path of seeing will not be clear, therefore it is determined as four. Furthermore, wind and mind, as the causes and conditions of father and mother, are purified as four, therefore it is also determined as four. Internally, entering the four chakras and four distinctions of the body, it is also determined as four. In secret, the four lamps show four appearances, therefore it is also determined as four. In unsurpassed yoga, the four signs are determined, and from this, the result of determining the four measures will manifest as the four bodies, therefore it is also determined as four. Second, the example of showing the four ripening stages: When the four empowerments are entered, the signs of ripening are encompassed by both impure and pure appearances, and also merge into both space and the realm of reality. The three stages of arising, destruction, and abiding, and the three times of past, present, and future, merge, and the three of body, speech, and mind are liberated from the karma of ripening. The phenomena of samsara and nirvana, the contaminated and uncontaminated, manifest as two through mastery. Through mastering appearance, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., are purified; through mastering existence, the afflictions are purified. Among these, the empowerment with elaboration represents the activity of entering the four of body, speech, mind, and heart; the empowerment without elaboration represents the four of attainment, abiding, stability, and near-realization; the empowerment of extreme non-elaboration represents the causes and conditions for the ripening of the four of body, speech, mind, and heart, manifesting the four fruits; the empowerment of utter non-elaboration represents the three doors ripening into the body, speech, and mind of the deity, and the four of employing the inexpressible meaning. The examples of the ripening of the four empowerments are: Just as planting a flawless seed in fertile land will ripen into fruit, so in the field of wisdom, first giving the empowerment with elaboration is like planting the seed; the empowerment without elaboration causes the sprout to grow and the branches and leaves to flourish; the empowerment of extreme non-elaboration causes the flower to bloom; the empowerment of utter non-elaboration causes the fruit of the determined four bodies to ripen. Third, regarding the four aspects of each nature, the first is the power of the empowerment with elaboration.

The form is: in a form-possessing way, uniting the aggregates such as the body with the Vajra body. That is, in a form-possessing way, the body is purified as the deity, speech is purified as mantra, mind is purified as samadhi, and heart is purified as dharmata. In a form-less way, it causes the illusion of external appearances to vanish. In an extremely form-less way, it unites with the four activities. In a supremely form-less way, it causes the body to be blissful, speech to be clear, mind to be non-conceptual, and heart to possess the power of union. Second, calculating the transformation of the four empowerments of form-lessness: with the form-possessing of form-lessness, the mind of the fortunate one is transformed. With the form-lessness of form-lessness, the means of entering within is shown. With the extremely form-lessness of form-lessness, by transforming the mind, it unites with the purification of conceptual thought. With the supremely form-lessness of form-lessness, the meaning of non-duality is attained. Third, using the four empowerments of extreme form-lessness to liberate the limits of karma: with the form-possessing of extreme form-lessness, actions, words, letters, and thoughts are purified, and bliss is given to the four: body, speech, mind, and heart. This also arises from the practice of distinguishing good and bad. With the form-lessness of extreme form-lessness, the meaning naturally arrives, so there is no place to go from dharmata. With the extremely form-lessness of extreme form-lessness, by entering the mandala of emptiness, one does not enter the three doors and three realms. With the supremely form-lessness of extreme form-lessness, the six consciousnesses are purified. Fourth, determining the distinctions of supreme form-lessness: with the form-possessing of supreme form-lessness, by whatever mind etc., attachment and aversion are naturally liberated. In a form-less way, by showing the field of the Nirmanakaya, the five aggregates, elements, and sense bases are emptied. In an extremely form-less way, by showing the field of the Sambhogakaya, the meaning of the nature of mind without coming and going is realized. In a supremely form-less way, by prophesying the Dharmakaya, the subtle obscurations of knowledge that cling to samsara and nirvana are purified. Second, explaining in detail the distinctions of one's own nature, which has four empowerments. First, for the form-possessing: the form-possessing of form-possessing, mixing vows and pouring oath water etc., this is external. The form-lessness of form-possessing, introducing into the mandala and indicating the deity, then bestowing the empowerment of the name, this is internal. The extremely form-lessness of form-possessing, from giving the vows of the Shravakas, until the nine sequences are completed, the breath
