English
Thus it is said. With a mind like swans flying in unison, combine the essence of meaning and explain. With a mind like a rainbow in the sky, adorn the Dharmadhatu and explain. With a mind like sharpening a razor, distinguish views and explain. With a mind like a mirror mandala, combine the two, cause and condition, and explain. With a mind like lightning in the sky, explain each word and meaning swiftly. With a mind like the emptiness of the sky, explain extensively and without obstruction. With a mind like a thorn taking root, indicate the reality of awareness and explain. With a mind like a coiled tree trunk, gather all phenomena into meaning and explain. With a mind like branching tree limbs, establish the meaning of the instructions and explain. With a mind like flourishing leaves, explain as in the twenty-one. With a mind like a clear flower, explain like the two lamps. With a mind like a ripened fruit, explain that the fruit does not revert to the cause. These and other methods of explanation should be understood in order. Thus it is said. At the time of such explanation and listening, contemplate the speaker as the teacher Samantabhadra, or Vajradhara, or Vajrasattva, and emanate the light of Dharma to pervade the sky, so that beings as numerous as the dust of the fields hear it, awaken from the sleep of ignorance, find the meaning of wisdom, abide on the path of liberation, and think of realizing the place of the meaning of words. Knowing the listener to be a hero of the lineage, and a mother, and an appearance of a dakini, focus on the union, the essence of mind, clear light, and for myself and limitless sentient beings, who are originally Buddhas, in the nature of knowing that they are, generate the supreme Bodhicitta. Thus it is said. In the pure land of Akanishta, the mandala that appears but has no inherent existence, the Dharma wheel of the five perfections arises, and afterwards, dedicate for the sake of sentient beings and the teachings to remain long. May the Buddha's teachings flourish and increase! May all sentient beings be happy and joyful! May they practice Dharma day and night! May the two benefits, self and other, be spontaneously accomplished! Thus it should be said. The third part, the remaining part, the explanation of the sound and meaning of the letters is divided into two: generally explaining the nature of letters as clouds, and specifically explaining the determination of the place. The first part has four: the reality of the state
