Or it is reasonable to call it the "Base Tantra." Because through realization, it tends towards the continuum of the Buddha; and through non-realization, it tends towards the continuum of sentient beings. Therefore, taking the tantra itself as the basis, it is reasonable to call it the "Base Tantra." The means tantra is also a part of this, because that meaning itself is the basis of what is to be expressed, so what is to be expressed becomes the means tantra. Because there is no Buddha or sentient being who does not rely on the wisdom of the base, it holds the continuum of these two. Relying on understanding it, realizing the meaning is its necessity. Liberation from realization is its ultimate necessary result. If such a meaning is not expressed through the guru's oral instructions, it cannot be realized. If it is expressed, it can be realized, so that way of expressing is called the "means tantra of expression," because the means is transmitted from one to another, so it is called "means of expression." Seeing wisdom through expression is necessary, and liberation itself is necessary. If it is thought that that meaning is not established anywhere, therefore there is no tantra, that is not the case. Because there is no continuum of wisdom related to this, it is reasonable to name and establish it as the "tantra of meaning." The essence nature tantra is wisdom, because directly seeing the dharmata of wisdom, it holds the past continuum, therefore it is a tantra. If there are no oral instructions from the guru, it cannot be seen, therefore it is transmitted in samsara, so it is a tantra. The flower nature tantra is: whoever sees the four lamps, and realizes them, that is the definite manifest wisdom, therefore it is the flower tantra. Because it is not seen, it is transmitted into the category of karma and afflictions, therefore it is also a tantra. The essence nature tantra is: from practicing it, the essence is condensed into essence, which is called seeing the light of wisdom, therefore it will not be destroyed in the three realms, so it is a tantra. Moreover, this essence, which is inseparable from emptiness and wisdom, is also explained in other than the seventeen tantras of the great secret determination: Gathering the essence of all the Buddhas, putting it into the hearts of all beings, that essence is continuous, because the essence is gathered, it is called essence. And, in the Tantra of Meaningful Diligence, it says: The essence of all teachings is, the path of manifest dharmata. And, in the Tantra Equal to Vajra Space, it says: The base, heart, and flower are, the self of all the Buddhas.

Shin Gyü. Especially the secret supreme essence is condensed. This can cross beyond the cycle of existence, Like a hero shooting an arrow. Thus it is said. Also, as stated in the "Golden Light Sutra": Relying on the basis, nature, and methods, Also in the Buddha-field, For ease and simplicity, it is established as a tantra. So it is. Thus, the definite meaning of these is: As stated in the "String of Pearls": The nature tantra is like this: The basis and essence are the very essence. The basis is the essence, nature, And compassion pervades and manifests in all. Possessing the nature of the three wisdoms, Primordially pure from the beginning, The single nature without gathering or scattering. It is the great secret of all the Buddhas. The body is the seed of perfect enlightenment. The tantra of the body pervades emptiness. Clarity itself is also self-appearing. Possessing the nature of non-appearance and clarity. The nature tantra of perfect essence. All appearances are tantra, All are connected and arise with all. In the mandala of the nature citta (Tibetan: ཙིཏྟ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: चित्त, Sanskrit Romanization: citta, Chinese literal meaning: mind), The essence is great because it is complete without being created. Therefore, condensation is the essence, Because it is the life force of all beings. Therefore, it is explained as the essence tantra. The collection of all Buddhas, The essence of all entities, The essence is called essence because it is condensed, Condensed into the essence of emptiness, clarity, and awareness. It is the great bliss secret of all Buddhas. The basis and essence have flowers. It is the nature of self-awareness. It is called the essence of the Great Perfection, More famous than other tantras. The secret tantra is explained in detail, It is the scripture that can be grasped with certainty. Nature pervades all with emptiness. So, the nature of essence is, Condensed by the essence, it is the three purities. Pervaded by the three clarities and wisdom. With the three confidences and three irreversibilities, Certainty is obtained that the essence does not change. Three appearances and three emptinesses, The essence is the nature of purity, It is established as a tantra. With the basis, path, and fruit, It is the nature tantra because it is certain to be grasped. Therefore, the tantra is established by explanation. Because it is established by the descent of nature, Therefore, it is called the tantra of nature itself. Thus it is said. Thus, from the nature of one basic awareness, There are two tantras of what is to be expressed and the means of expression. From nature, the basis and essence, The three essences, although spoken of as five different names, But the nature of the meaning does not go beyond one, that
